what got up his ass? I stopped watching after 2024 and tuned in a little last week and i noticed this. I understand that his polls are showing poor numbers for the GOP, but he seems to be personally taking it as an offense against himself or something.
Baris (and Barnes) are doing the same shit forum posters do here sometimes, where things are being reset and put back in place but it's not fast enough, or they completely bet on the wrong thing and are proven wrong and instead of just going oh well, they take it like a personal insult and hold a grudge (Iran strike). That's what a dog shocker does, not a fren.
As Baris started joining with Rasmussen for this new poll group after the '24 election, it's been this feeling he needs to panic in a way that isn't the usual Alex Jones/Laura Loomer way to get attention. Yes, the House and Senate GOP are still gay, but nothing can be done right now this year, and I don't know what to say about people holding in this anxiety for a year. Like Vance is saying, if we get stuff done, make things better, the election writes itself.
I'm not going to pretend I have a more balanced view of things, I live in a red state but I live in an area that is light red on the outskirts of a blue city, and you can pick up on things going on and read the proverbial room, you could see it in '18, '20, and '22, and in '24 it was apparent and '26 is looking like the GOP holds it all. Yes, Virginia was always going to go blue because the liberals have nothing (and secretly realize Trump in power means the more blue things like trannies will be mitigated so they can vote blue in vanity compared to '21), and NJ looks to be actually winnable barring last minute 3AM dumps. Work is steady instead of big seasonal spikes and lulls, things are expensive but that's not Trump's fault and at least there is supply again, and people are realizing it's ok to be white for the first time in decades. Baris seems to think people just trying to catch their breath in peace is a sign of surrender or giving up, it's not, it's that people just want to enjoy some clear safety for a minute and start again in '26.
In fact, what this past year has shown is for the past few years we had fake MAGA trying to do an Ann Coulter controlled op style on the party. However, this new Trump team are actual "soldiers" compared to performers who want to get things done, and I think in many ways it's thrown people off. MTG is now trying to become a liberal because no one is listening to her (notice how she has been replaced by the infinitely more bangable Anna Paulina Luna who is actually doing her job way better too), Thomas Massie is having a hissy fit every day, Rand Paul cares more about drug dealers than you, and The Daily Wire is all but irrelevant. And yet, things are getting better, rot is being removed. Slowly, but getting there, and things are in place to make it faster. Then you factor in the crazy judges destroying the judiciary to the point SCOTUS has to rule for Trump all the time, and Charlie Kirk's assassination, people are getting things done and it makes the old guard crazy. Simple as.
