Jews escaping the Holocaust
There was a large Jewish population in New York before the Holocaust. While a lot certainly did escape from Europe in the decade before the Holocaust, a lot of the WWII era mass immigration of Jews was
after the Holocaust. The Evian Conference basically did nothing to smooth Jewish immigration out of Europe before the war, and there were actual quota systems enforced against the refugees who wanted to immigrate at the time. It was pretty interesting what happened after—the Red Cross and western forces in Allied-controlled Europe basically had a ton of Holocaust survivors they put up in refugee-esque camps, seemingly in towns depopulated from the war. But unlike modern Muslim refugee camps, the Jews there actually just tried to get back on with their lives and reintegrate into society to some extent. A lot got married, spent time sending out letters to find out if family survived, let family abroad know where they were, and did local Red Cross-organized work to reintegrate. They didn't interact much with the local population in places like Germany for obvious reasons. The Red Cross had a system where they basically said "Hey, where is your family? Canada? The US? Britain? Let us know and we'll give you a new passport and visa to go there." From what I know, it was probably the easiest time in modern history for someone to legally immigrate to a western country and become a citizen quickly. A lot who didn't take that offer for whatever reason ended up emigrating to Israel—a lot via Italy—around 1946—1948. The total immigration after the war was about double the immigration levels before the war, when you include those who went to Israel.
So not only is AOC retarded, but the truth actually reveals some inconvenient truths for her ideology. For one, they weren't just economic migrants who
have to go, for some reason, through 30 safe countries to end up raping little girls in a western country. The refugee camps were generally peaceful and quiet. The refugees didn't really cause problems while there, but actually did work (certainly, subsidized and relatively easy to come up with given depopulation and destruction from the war) and tried to reintegrate. There were concerns with social disorder before the war, but not due to criminal activity—just the fact that there were a bunch of new immigrants coming. When given the full pass to go wherever they went—usually where they had family of some sort—they generally integrated and contributed to society by becoming professionals, starting businesses, raising children to get educations and become part of society, etc. You don't hear about the eternal Jewish refugee like you do with Middle Easterners. If they didn't have family in the west or didn't want to go to any of the western countries (especially European countries—I'd want an ocean between me and Europe, too, after WWII), they fucked off somewhere else. It's like everything Europe and leftist ideologues have said about Muslim rapefugees, but actually true.
You never hear about crime waves and rape crises exploding in New York because of WWII Jewish refugees for a reason. You can't say the same for modern Muslim immigrants in Stockholm, London, Frankfurt, etc.
