He is their second actually. The dabbleverse is a cargo cult and that cargo cult requires a god. Stuttering John was their god until he fried his brains to a point where he no longer provided useful content. So (all respect to the originator of this) the Children of Dr. Moreau in the dabbleverse found themselves a new god and his name was Aaron. He isn't a great god but he was the best available choice at the time. If not him, perhaps mersh or redbar would have been elevated.

And yes, Aaron is extremely boring. And re-watching his shows blowing them up into hours-long agony alog efap streams is not sane. But this is the dabbleverse and the streams must flow.

Looks like he's in this jacket - which is textured in some way and has red thread highlights. I've always interpreted it as being snakeskin patterned. Very demure!
