There's literally no excuse for not being able to cook a steak and I don't even think you can call yourself an adult if you can't.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=AmC9SmCBUj4Gordon Ramsay explained it in exactly two and a half minutes.
The best part is you know he spent ages going over "how to cook a steak" videos because he wants to come off as an expert for the stream. Yet he still managed to make it look like something that forgot its ass napkins for the day.
What a weird little nerd to be in his 40s and unable to cook a simple meal.

Guys can you just like get on ignoring my past please and just seriously just judge me based on now?

Imagine being a father of five children and compulsively doing whatever it takes to make yourself an internet laughingstock because any attention will do.

No wonder Nick was drawn to Aaron. They have a lot in common.

(Actually about DSP, but still applies)

Bonus: The social media expert is back and talks about thumbnails.

Addendum: He deleted a couple of videos yesterday, but it was probably just a mistake.

Two unrelated quick points on this stream, for which I'm only half listening to:
  1. Nick somehow doesn't understand that Steve Bannon has been discussing a second Civil War for years. (Amazing. How do I know more about conservative media than he does?) He whined about The Economist "libreal" reporters for bringing it up.

  2. He's planning on buying more pork and chicken because it's cheaper. (Interesting, that.)

Why does it even exist? They're only used for camping because they don't weigh much, that's it. For a steak, cast iron would be far superior. If you have skills, then carbon steel would be nice as well.
It's a gimmick.
Agreed. All my titanium is camping only, and that's only for things like mugs, little pans, and sporks, like you said, for lightweight. But I tend to truck camp these days, so at camp and at home I do almost all of my cooking in iron ware. I mostly cook in a couple of iron pans large and small. but also a large double-handle pan with lid, a heavy dutch oven, and even this little cast iron korean pan that i've become particularly fond of. It's great over a hibachi or an open fire, often with the dutch-oven hanging from above on a tripod cooking it's own thing.

The korean pan is relatively thin, making for a quick heating. Most i've found come pre-seasoned with some kind of factory ung on it that I don't trust so I found one without the coating to season it myself. I tell ya, well you already know, there is nothing quite like cooking with a well seasoned iron pan. I have a full set of restaurant copper bottoms that I basically don't use, I just love that iron.
