So that leaves us that he has lied pretty blatatly already about its footprint and the cost, putting aside ALL personal feelings about it thats just objectively true. The idea a bunch of Old Money assholes, big tech companies, and defense contractors are going to shell out hundreds of millions (billions) for a fancy building for the government out of the kindness of their heart is ludicrous, they are getting something out of this.

I feel like its time for the resident Monarchist to point out that it is a GOOD thing the wealthy aristocrats are being roped in to fund the construction of civic architecture and institutions.

When the city of Florence built their bitching ass Cathedral and paid for that statue of David, did the money come from taxes on the general citizenry? No. The Great and the Good of the city coughed up the cash because part of being a wealthy member of the Florentine republic meant making the city look GRAND.

Part of the reason why government buildings in the modern era suck ass is due to the egalitarian impulse of Liberalism to argue that all men are equal. Thus all construction gets paid out from the general fund and all of it looks like concrete fridges tipped over on their sides and built by the lowest bidder. They suck.

Your complaint would be more prescient if the great and the good were giving money to Trump so he can build a golf course. Something for his immediate personal benefit. Them paying for a national prestige project that will be owned by the State is not a "bribe", its a gift to the Nation of which they are a part and part of their responsibility as Nobles. They ARE better then the common riff raff. But being better also requires doing stuff. Like paying for civic infrastructure that makes the country look cool.

I remember as a much younger man walking through the mall with my father who never EVER said anything unchristian to me to my memory and we past a guy working a kiosk with a pink Fo-hawk and like 8 piercings, obviously we both notice him and my dad leans over to me after we get a little passed him and says the "light in the loafers" line but im so naive at that age I dident know what he meant and he goes

I wish the federal government shutdown could just last FOREVER! I'm tired of my money going to niggers and welfare leeches who contribute NOTHING to society. 65% of all SNAP recipients and 48% of all section 8 housing is for nonwhites! Our country is slowly on the path towards total economic collapse and we're spending trillions of dollars on gibs for the old fucks who destroyed the country, and for niggers and welfare leeches

We can keep them out while at the same time not push them into someone else’s arms. We give them a few niceties while we prep to weld the door shut. That way they don’t go all in on Russia right away, which would be a problem. We don’t need Russia, China, and India becoming close allies. That would be really bad for US interests down the line.

Russia from what I understand is more than willing to use violence to beat any bad actors back into line. Indians would immediately become more docile and controllable within Russia’s borders. Remember that we aren’t beating the tar out of foreign troublemakers in this country.
