Which is only doubly revealing of how performative it is, since someone truly sufficiently untethered from reality to write it in the first place, would by necessity consider it completely reasonable. A true schizo doesn't consider his schizo ramblings schizo ramblings, it's kinda built into the whole concept/definition.

I was friends with someone who underwent an LSD-induced schizo disorder that intensified every time he smoked marijuana. We were young college kids. I remember smoking weed with him once and he entered a manic state and started babbling about things that were just past the barrier separating reality from absurdity. I had no idea what to do or make of it at the time, much less any idea how to handle it, advise him to get help, or even feel like I knew what was wrong.

When you’re young and dealing with someone in this type of state for the first time, you tend to freeze up and try to pretend that things are normal. You rationalize it as the guy is just acting weird on marijuana. If you’re just beginning to try and take care of yourself in the world, it’s very tough to take responsibility for another person who is undergoing something really weird and abnormal. You put on blinders and pretend things are okay because the other option requires you to deal with a situation that is really out of your league.

I’m not saying it makes a person a good or bad friend for having this reaction. I just understand why the friend didn’t act like you would expect a friend to react in retrospect. It doesn’t necessarily make him a bad friend that he had no idea how to handle his friend’s descent into insanity and rationalized or minimized it away. Especially if the troon was still capable of adequately getting by in the world. It’s one thing when your friend strips naked and starts salsa dancing in the street. It’s another thing entirely when your friend seems like he’s just being a huge slob and then starts talking about portals and shit while you’re getting really high on weed.

They were also all some variation of liberal or lolberterian. That kind of friend group does not intervene when people display self destructive behavior because their entire belief system hinges on letting people do what they want as long as nobody else gets hurt

As for the leaks... can't really say anything that hasn't already been said. Unrestrained access to frivolous bullshit, pisscord and AI chatbots is actually killing people.

There's a whole generation of disenfranchised and lost men out there. Some will gravitate back to tradition and religion, and some will dive into degeneracy and lunacy headfirst. There are freaks living in the shadows, bidding their time, taking advantage of the system, and radicalizing someone. So many of them hiding and biding their time. You could've driven past a house where inside, something like this was brewing. Disgusting. Disgusting on an epic scale.

Timing is everything though. The stars need to be aligned for maximum damage and these troons are at best good at hurting themselves. And don't forget, those are young Zoomers, older Alpha are a totally different breed. Pure Ipad babies that lurked the darkest corners of the internet without supervision from when they were not even in Kindergarten.
 
I read through the entirety of the discord leaks, and honestly, it felt like a massive waste of time. There's virtually no real insight into the shooter. Nothing about his motives, political beliefs, planning, or anything that actually help explains or confirm what is already obvious and known.

Instead, it's just page after page of someone describing the disgusting day to day life of a deeply unstable troon with obvious attention seeking behavior, whose only real connection to the shooter seems to be that they were fucking. It barely mentions Tyler at all. The whole thing reads more like a personal smear campaign against Lance for ruining magic night than serve as anything informative, written by some one who didn't have the courage to confront him directly for mistreating his magic cards.

The leaker themselves comes across as a pretty unreliable narrator. They didn't even realize Tyler and Lance were homos until it became undeniable, they seem to have a poor grasp of social dynamics in general. It's hard to take their persepctive seriously. The leaker thought it was normal for grown men to get drunk, cuddle and spoon other men... I think that tells you everything you need to know about the leaker.

After reading it all, I'm left with the exact same questions I had as before and I got answers to questions I didn't even want. I don't care about Lance's gorilla nest. None of this shit matters in helping understand the case. The entire leak feels like a disorganized useless dump of discord brain rot that adds nothing of value.

Every one involved deserves to die.
