The admirable thing about Stancil is that he is entirely sincere. He’s the one white guy that…takes racism and anti semitism seriously, even as a liberal-not as faux pas or low status speech but as actual social evils.

People on Bluesky are mocking him-none of them care, or are willing to “fight the fascists in the digital trenches” like Will Stancil does.

You almost get the impression sometimes the far right “likes” Stancil more than his supposed allies do.

What I’ve always found charming about Will is that he takes liberal propaganda with his whole chest. You get the impression he wouldn’t change his beliefs-it’s not about praise or status, he isn’t getting it on the left and even centrists like Yglesias don’t back him either. He means what he says and would likely continue believing it even if he had no back up or established institutions that shared the same views.

It’s why the Nazi Stancil memes have such punch-he’s a White guy with genuine conviction and autistic fixation-along with authoritarian tendencies.

There’s nothing insincere about him. Call him a libtard, a negrophile, whatever you want-but IDK it’s just charming. I’m not remotely cruel enough to even mock him for it.
