I hate to point it out but I think a number of people are against Sliwa because President Trump has suggested that he should drop out and they are parroting his stances. New York City could be on the precipice of a political transformation in what might be a once in a generation opportunity and people want to back down now because they think Cuomo can somehow perform better?

If Sliwa dropped out and only the former New York governor was left to go against Mamdani, he would be constantly shredded by attack ads on his failings while in office, his sexual assault allegations and how he handled COVID-19.

I think Trump doesn't even know if he can. I think that is how bad internally in the Big Apple things have gotten. The typical predictive measures like polls aren't matching with the ground support. Silwa has a chance, but he needs to push hard, and get Cuomo to drop out.

I previously saw a tweet describing Mamdani's claim about how free bus fare reduces assaults on bus drivers. I wish Sliwa would've used it on Mamdami. It went something like this:
"A guy who would've assaulted the bus driver over fare is now sitting next to you on the bus instead."
 
Cuomo has the Disney villain physiognomy just like Gavin Amhole thats all the proof i need for him to drop out and hand the victory to Sliwa, the sexual assault charges are just the cherry on top.

This could be a 4d chess thing. Trump's endorsement would hurt Sliwa more than it would help so him being wish washy about it is probably the most he can do.

I dunno, sounds like he was on the outs with the old gig too -- didn't he quit because his boss called into his show to tell him to drop out of the race? If your own boss thinks you suck so hard you should quit (your other gig), I can't imagine wanting to stay.
