most people playing vtmb got it through gog, so i dont use steam as a metric for it

vtmb2 is on both steam and gog and most purchases are gonna be through there instead.

i am not purchasing it through either service. but i have my ways of obtaining games
 
Played 1.5 hours. Pretty fucking mid so far. Going in, I knew that most of the rpg elements that make the first game a classic have been gutted for the sequel, so I just treat it like a dumb action thingie. Cast is decent so far. I like the voice in my head (Fabian?). There's an autistic science lady who is jonesing after the protagonist pretty hard. There's also a very tranny coded vampire who uses way too many curse words and weird, inappropriate sexual innuendo. Also has hrt/agp voice. This tranny vampire is a nosferatu aka. the most repulsive of vampires. Ugly and smelly. Pretty based depiction ngl. Tbh I'm probably gonna go back to the first game in a couple of hours. Shame.

The fuckers literally reused tracks from Bloodlines (Alternative ones that weren't implemented in the official versions). At 19:50 in that video you have the Hollywood Hub (Alternative). The rest is just fucking awful. I'm really looking forward to seeing them try to spin this turd.

Just finished watching that review, it looks like if this were a generic vampire game it would be pretty mediocre, but as a sequel of a game from a franchise with a long established lore, it looks awful. That Nos faggot character alone makes me to not want to play it.

I only played an hour but one nice thing I gotta say is the environment looks pretty great. They did do a good job making decaying buildings look like shit and have drug needles everywhere. But they did too good a job on your apartment. Granted your not the previous owner but they made the bathroom filthy as sin with condoms on the sink, what looks like blood and shit in the bathtub and a dead cat in the kitchen.

I was not pleased with the lack of options for burying the cat.

Oh that's lovely. There's no option to disable it? I tried looking for a disable health bars option but I'm gonna have to live with that pet peeve I guess.

Only way to disable it is by adding this to the config ini in the app data local folder of the game
[SystemSettings]
r.MotionBlur.Max=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=False

Also they seem to be ripping off Vampyr with how there is only autosave, you can't save manually. Extremely gay.
 
Approximately 14 hours of gameplay.
Original Bloodlines was approximately 25 hours.
All Anarchs are crustpunks.
All Camarilla are strong, empowered, snarky women, or snarky gay men.
They took a single meme from Bloodlines 1 (LOL MUH HECKIN' STOP SIGN-ARINO!) and turned it into a major part of a character in Bloodlines 2.
Masquerade violations left, right, and center.
Game can't decide if it wants to be a beat'em up, a murder mystery, or a visual novel.
Conversation do-overs everywhere without even having to save scum.
Dialogue is so bad it would make George Lucas point and laugh.

Phyre is an Ankaran Sarcophagus tribute act.
The whole plot happens because a shy, quirky, Tremere nerd girl got a sad over her Malkavian boyfriend getting wrecked by the Prince, so she joins the Sabbat and tries to destroy Seattle to stick it to said Prince.
