I remember being taught by my history teacher in school that "achshully the Democrats back in the Civil War were the same thing as Republicans and the Republicans were the same thing as the Democrats today, the parties agreed to swap the names of their party, yeah there was one day where the parties one day where they just swapped their names..."
I heard that bullshit, too. It's wild. The change was the 60's Democrats pushed the party hard to the left and the modern proponents of the Democrat Party don't want to reckon with their history. They want everyone to forget that they're a party of rebels and traitors.
Harry Enten
He's been sounding the alarm for months now and Democrats don't want to listen to him.
Mike Pence might be in trouble, too. Good.
Was this guy put in power just to hurt Trump? Jesus Christ, what a snake.

I feel like what cements that Kagan might vote with the Conservative wing is just how fucking dumb KBJ is. There was a 3-5 minute dialogue where it just was the NAACP lawyer and KBJ agreeing with each other. Everyone else was silent and it was the most masturbatory sequence I’ve heard in oral arguments. Every oral argument I’ve heard typically will have a Justice pry or give an at length example to better understand the argument. KBJ just wants to argue the issue for her side.

I’ll give Kagan this, she is the best at appearing fair while Sotomayor and KBJ cannot.
She is the Souter of their side, squishy. She was still DEI Jew woman for Jew woman, but those other 2.. They aren't good looking enough to suck their way up, I have no idea but just be right race/sex at right time in life all over despite sub 100 IQs

Yes, sadly the Democrats aren't what they used to be. They were the party of the farmers and the Klan, my family and every farming family were hardcore Democrats for a long time. Even funded some of their shit around here. They backstabbed us by taking influence from Marxist idealism.

It went along with a ton of buffs to law enforcement, welcomed after the 80's crime issues and a few high-profile mass shootings, and had an expiration on it anyway.
Yes, but as Kirk said to Khan "but like a poor marksman, you keep missing the target!"

They didn't go after illegals which were already a huge problem in the 90s. What they ended up doing is replacing the boyz n da hood crips and bloods style gangs with widespread barrios and cartels. The spics know a bit better after than to usually do tons of drive-bys all over, but they actually kill more. Again, Trump's speech yesterday highlighted just how bad the media can be on focusing things to their agenda.

I do have to kinda laugh that I told some homie negroes back in the day, 'you keep open borders, your types are gonna be replaced'. Kinda of half dozen or the other in the end, but at least mostly outside of CA and bizarro lands the gun shit isn't so bad.

I wish the USSC would rule on the NFA and 68 laws as not only unconstitutional, but counter productive to lower crime. Trump and Bondi did irritate me talking about '20k illegal guns' taken off streets. Take the people that have them out and donate the guns to the local churches.

i personally don’t see it aside from the continued love of cheap labor and penchant for sketchy shit in terms of party machines and such. The democrats aren’t even the same party as 1990 let alone 1860.

You can think the democrats in the 1860s were evil without digging into myth to try to connect it to modern left wing progressive democrats. I know we joke about them because of the states right shit and the illegal shit. But to actually say it’s anything more then a passing resemblance isn’t actually accurate how political parties in the USA developed and changed.

It’s “My antifa grandpa stormed the beaches of Normandy” tier historical myth making tbqh

The reality is American political parties and their coalitions shift a lot, sometimes 3 times in 100 years

It's hard to compare almost 200 years ago, but yeah, they were all democrats more or less. The 'Republican party' had just gotten started. Somewhere around the 50s-60s the dems decided to go opposite of how they used to be, at least on race
The parties really didn’t switch, the south is what switched. A good amount of southern states, which were once the richest states during the slavery days due to the emphasis on produce, became among the poorest, so the democrats did what they always do and followed the money to the coasts. They’re still more or less the exact same party they were 200 years ago, just with different venues

Good point, the Anne Richards, LBJs, and Clintons in their day would fit in their shrinking areas well now. But it's not just the south that switched, the midwest mostly did too. Iowa and Kansas used to be somewhat swings. The hard left has been concentrated to the west coast and Colorado, the upper mid west of MN-IL, and the north east of a line from Maryland to Ohio with, I think, only PA now is a true swing.

"Why hello there fellow black hater! Boy, I sure do love racism! Man doesn't it just SUCK that we can't have slavery anymore? The Democrats really dropped the ball on that one didn't they, haha??

Hey, you wouldn't happen to know when we're gonna have our next annual white supremacist meet up to saw the barrels off of shotguns do you? I could really use an illegal firearm haha."

I trust it more then polls ngl
It's a very, very expensive to pay off poll. In the days and weeks before the election there was clearly a concentrated effort to make the betting odds look more favorable to Kamala Harris, but all that did was leave a massive hole in the campaigns pocket and enrich the wallets of everyday people who bet that Trump would win. My brother in law made a big chunk of change on that bet and I have little doubt part of that money came directly from the Harris campaign

god i fucking love america
trump has been on a winning streak and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fucking gay brown communist or some other shit.
he's baited everyone in the world with 'do what i say or i will fucking bomb you'.
peace through strength works, unironically.

America is so fucking back.
Trump is the modern Teddy Roosevelt. "Speak softly and carry a big stick"

Yes it does suck. Just like I keep cattle and they serve a higher species, the niggers did the same and Gods order was followed. We have dominion over all the beasts of the field, going against that was to rebel against the Lord. But things are different now and id rather just get them all out at this point. I know some guys in cotton that are pissed off that Trump is getting rid of the spics because they can pay them less but that's what high schoolers, unskilled White men, and big families are for.

Warren is such a weird duck. She tries so hard to be tough in public but, behind closed doors, she is apparently overly nice to people. She actually has worked on bipartisan legislation, unlike a lot of Massachusetts politicians. Her problem is she hates Trump with an undying passion because he brought her fake Indian heritage to the national stage. She's never leaving politics because she's a fundraising machine - that's why the Democrats keep her around and it's why no one tries to primary her. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if her and Trump buried the hatchet.
Warren is weird, because I've heard evidence of her having solid policy ideas, being willing to actually solve problems, and at times she seems like a completely fine politician. Then she proposes wealth taxes, chimps out about being an injun, and is generally just an unbearable faggot. She's definitely one of those ones you hope could be turned into a productive force in politics, if such a thing is possible.

Anyway, I wonder what's going on in New York...
...you know I really think it might help shape the discourse on this sort of thing if people remembered that it is an option to kick those people off of the bus and whip them in the street. And frankly you should consider yourself lucky to only be publicly beaten for it, I'm all for sympathy and mercy but if you attack the foundations of public works because you feel entitled to whatever you want for free then it's hard not to view you as fundamentally incompatible with a civilized society. Can we just exile people to Liberia or something? Is that on the table?

Polymarket had Trump pretty up from a few weeks after the DNC, 55% or more, and it just climbed, but fall it was well over 60%, which I coulda thrown some in, and yeah they were boost harris's bets on there a lot. I imagine a lot of that $1.5b she went through went to those odds markets. Unfortunately I do think odds markets are now the 'polls' that will influence people more and more over time on elections.
