If you think most YouTube car channel are shit, try looking for a decent motorbike channel.

Nathanthepostman is good if you want to ride off road for the occassional few miles, and like small capacity ADV bikes and Motobob has done a few good reviews that are very fair and unbiased. Fortnine does some decent scientific analysis sometimes.

Cannot stand 44Teeth, YammieNoob and many others that I have watched a few minutes of and given up on. Tey to hard to be jokey, or come over as patronising.

One thing is for sure, I'd never want to run a motoring YouTube channel.

Im trying to find Sarah n Trooned's deadname and build up a bunch of fact finding and old pictures. Normally I leave the trannies alone but Sarah n Tuned aka Sarah n Dipity is getting pushed by the algos hard and is pretending he is a girl and doing girly things and lots of men are falling for it. Also Sarah n Trooned has mid takes at best and cant even do tuning, he basically just outsources all the hard work. Because Sarah N Trooned is being dishonest the world needs to know its a mentally ill man and it has to stop. He polices reddit and youtube comments hard - try even saying something innocuous in the comments and its clear all comments are gate-kept.

DankPods is unironically one of the best CarTubers out there; his mate James plays well off him (and it helps that James is a mechanic by trade). I'd go as far as to say that Garbage Time is better than DankPods' OG channel.

Jonny Smith has a very similar opinion about EVs. His argument is that the more people use EVs for mundane tasks like school runs and grocery shopping, the more petrol/gasoline will be around for enthusiasts to use properly.

fwiw I enjoy Jonny Smith way more as a YouTuber than I did when he was a presenter on Fifth Gear.

Jayemm posted a video today about how BYD manage their 'influencers' and 'journalists'. In short, they pay for reviews and have strict control over everything. If you say something bad about them they will sue the fuck out of you.

Nothing new here. Bike Magazine in the UK slated the Honda Goldwing back in 1976.

Honda immediately withdrew their advertising from Bike, which had a massive effect on their revenue, and, I was informed,almost led to the magazine folding.

Since then, you could see the course of reviewing bikes change across the whole bike publishing industry. Manufacturers that produced really good bikes, but didn't pay for much advertising, never saw honest reviews. The winners, especially in group tests, were always those who issued the biggest advertising cheques.

My ex boss owned a bunch of high-profile magazines in his shitty little country...big name-regional version. One of them was a car magazine. He also owned a bunch of car dealerships. Guess which SUV ranked top of the pick when he overordered on Alfa Stelvios?
