Lol, I wasn't aware of him being in a band, so I looked it up. Little Love and the Friendly Vibes is the band (can't find any previous mentions on KF).
Their Facebook and other social media are still available, but it looks like they haven't played live or made new music in the last few years.

In other words: total incel.

This is the problem with expanding autism as a spectrum and dissolving distinctions like Asperger's, then amplifying the whole mess with self diagnosis and over diagnosis. Can't tell you how many people I run into who were diagnosed as adults or have diagnosed children who are just dorks, and they act so appreciative for the modern era since they now "have the language that fits their experiences" yet somehow are worse off for it.

There is no guarantee that your child is going to want to do the same shit you love to do, especially if they're a lil tarded. It also ignores that 80% of the time you spend on your child is going to be unpleasant but you do it because you love them and also because you have to. Y'know diaper changes, lunch packing, fighting about homework, playing some stupid game they made up and always win. Yeah, I wish they'd just play video games with me too.

We were passing by a bookstore with that word in it and she commented about how odd it was that a trans bookstore was located there. I asked what she meant and she said sapphic is another word for transgender. I laughed but didn't bother to explain. I'm not going to reveal my power and sound like a retard who specializes in troons.

I'm pretty sure the only time I've heard "sapphic" outside of troons and discussions around the actual poet Sappho or Greek lit was lesbian porn in the 90s, maybe the early 2000s. So yeah, that tracks with trannies.

Ironically (imo anyway) I think autism has suffered a lot from the same type of affirmative first thinking that troonacy entails. The diagnostic criteria have been broadened to the point of uselessness, and investigations into causal mechanisms keep showing that what is labelled autism is so broadly heterogenous in causes and outcomes that even lumping them together is highly suspect. But the "autistic" community is now a thing, it's an identity category that people reach for and identify with, and it hooks in special treatment including access to literal bonus resources like individual education plans, ADHD is having a similar moment, you can find ads for services offering to fast track diagnose you (which I'm sure has nothing to do with getting access to adderall or anything like that).

Psychiatry and mental illness is such a minefield precisely because it involves identity, and labeling the person can affect the outcome. I really don't feel like the profession takes the effect of their labels in-and-of themselves seriously, even as they radically shift definitions of conditions over very short periods of time. Things should have remained precise clinical descriptors,

Having been a teacher and now still working in education it gets worse every year. No I'm not a shrink but most of the kids with ADHD now are just poorly parented or parented by a fad their parents saw on tik tok. They don't really have attention issues, they're just little self centered assholes that never learned to self regulate. I went to school for 8-12 years with the same handful of ADD kids. Now that was some OG ADD, and they grew out of it and ended up fine.
Anyway I can see teachers overwhelmed with the trifectA of IEPs and 504s to follow in the modern era: Autism, ADHD, and Anxiety. Fucking anxiety! 70% are straight up fake and the next 20 shouldn't even require paperwork on the school's part.

Here’s the thing. I pass fairly well as a tallish woman. Chances are much more likely you are clocking a cis woman or man, not a transgender person if you’re out there looking.

Most of my days I do not think about trans stuff. I’m thinking about my errands, my work, a boyfriend, family, the corn kernel in my teeth, etc… I am out living my life.

If you want to connect, compliment me on my hair or something. Strike up a conversation about something else. If you clocked me as a member of the community, chances are I’ve done the same. But I’m not going to just run up to you and proclaim myself your long lost sister. I’m going to play it cool. You should too.

To loop back to the start. If I’m wearing the trans flag, it’s open season. I want to be open and visible. Come bug me.

Edit: I want to add some more detail.

I have a fairly public facing career. I’m always meeting with clients, vendors and all sorts of fun folks for work. I keep multiple pride progress heart pins around so I can always have something on me to indicate that I’m safe. And I’m happy to talk in private if someone wants. I do end up with some people giving me nods and others who try to take things further. Active construction sites are very amusing now.

Many of my clients know I’m trans. It’s an open secret. I like to say that I transitioned in front of an audience. it’s because I started this career at the same time I started medical transition. I was onsite working with people through my entire cringe phase. They all got exposed to my voice training exercises over the phone. I’ve shared quite a bit of my experience with curious folks in private.

I even work with some pretty conservative business owners. These people rarely if ever care to say anything. At some point they may ask me some questions. I gently answer what I can. But we’ve all moved past the point where I am a novelty to them and we just work together now.

It’s honestly fucking wonderful. I’m a trans person who is just normal for hundreds of people across multiple businesses. I have clients who trust my work and ask for me by name. It feels good.

Being honest, I’m ready to move on from that now. The clients who know know. But we don’t just fill in their new hires during orientation. “Let me tell you about PITA. She’s just the trans woman who handles a bunch of our infrastructure.” They don’t. It’s not relevant to the work we are doing. It’s a piece of my personal life that they happen to know because of the circumstances when we met. So when a person who wasn’t around during the awkward years decides to clock me while we are working, they look like an ass and my whole day gets wrecked by the sudden dysphoria spiral.

Yes. I’m pretty open about my status most of the time now. If I’m out and about in my off time, I signal. I have my pins and flags. I have clothing that accentuates the features I got from T. I am happy to be in photos and pictures that get posted wide. I want to be a bog standard average trans woman that a young queer kid can see and feel safer coming out themselves because of.
