Either he thinks the show cause is just another chance to appeal producing the restraining order or he'll say he thought the show cause order was a duplicate of the sanctions order.

Somewhere on this planet at this very moment there's an Indian customer service representative listening to insane man with partial facial paralysis trying to explain why he needs more tokens so that he can use the company's AI platform to generate a very important legal document, and that while he while he does not currently have the money to pay for those tokens now, if he were able to generate the legal document, he would ask the AI to include something about how the court should require the defendants to pay for those tokens.

Will that Indian customer service representative redeem? Stay tuned to find out.

I almost thought that Russ had filed something on time until I read that it was filed by the defendants.

I like what Hardin has done here. I intentionally left room in the crop to pencil in whatever date the court extends to Greer next. I now realize that I failed to leave enough room for the date after that. Such is life.

Russ claims to not have seen another Court order

Recalcitrance abounds.

I wonder who Hardin cc'd.

Also, wouldn't the timing for this filing have been better tomorrow, after Greer fails to submit his show cause material tonight? Did Hardin email Greer today to...help him by obliquely steering him to the docket that he was apparently ignoring? Now he has time to scramble and throw some last-minute AI slop together before midnight.

Hardin, you cheeky sonofagun, I see what you did there. Well played.

Well, the Judge did file them at the same time. How was Russ to know that he's supposed to read court orders? It's not like the Judge had told him he should

Him deciding not to respond to show cause is such a disappointment. Surprisingly stupid, too. Now it is guaranteed to earn him sanctions, and we don't even get to see any drooling first.

What's the betting he begs for an extension of time to respond to the OSC?

When do we think he'll even notice movement on the docket?

Homeboy's too busy checking his inbox to see if women who were in a relationship over a decade ago are now available and want to offer a crumb of pussy. I'm sure they're as eager as Steve. :story:

It's so fucking funny that his undoing is his insistence that this fucking application was super relevant and easy to obtain, but his sudden 180° on this stance for fucking months could cost him the case. He's been able to drag it out for half a fucking decade and his fucking motormouth (the irony is not lost on me) is going to be what ultimately destroys it.

Can the court be upset at Hardin at all if he's reminding Greer of what he needs to do and Greer is being a trite ass in his own email replies to this gentle prodding?

Everyone here would no doubt be far happier for Hardin to play hardball and salt the earth, but as satisfying as that may be, it accomplishes nothing when the judges are gimp simping. He may as well change tactics to those that will put him and his client in a better position when appeals come around and he has the possibility of having a judge that doesn't get coloring books for Christmas assigned to the case.

What's the betting he begs for an extension of time to respond to the OSC?

If he does, Hardin needs to oppose and point out that magistrate judge previously indicated that Greer needed to check his email and Greer indicated that he would.

The only extension Greer deserves is from another turn of the knob if he's sentenced to the rack.

Greee did explain that the document was irrelevant a few times now so when will the judge get that trough his thick skull? After all this is a case about copyright infringement (and plightsperging). Maybe Russ should file a motion for the judge to show cause why he should not tell on him to the 10th!

Nah, I think Hardin makes the right play by always following up with Greee before the deadlines. It makes it that much harder for the judges to say "The PRO SE PERSON made an honest goof" when you get him on record before the deadline.

Hardin enumerating all the times the court extended this faggot's deadline while he continues to utterly ignore all its orders is definitely him saying "he's not just trying to punk me, he's making a fool out of you as well". I know that being a Polly about this court usually ends in disappointment but for the nth time I will tell myself that Bennett might see this put in front of him so clearly that he can't help but feel at least very annoyed.

Him deciding not to respond to show cause is such a disappointment.
Give it a little bit more time. He frequently files untimely shit because the court has never showed an iota of giving a shit about it, he still might give us something in a day or two.

Since I'm second-guessing and nitpicking the hell out of Hardin today, may as well go for one more.

ECF 300 is the transcript from the hearing; the actual order with the date is at ECF 283. He's not wrong that it is mentioned during the hearing. But with the later ECF against an earlier date, I had to double check we weren't getting into time travel, again.

I think it's the right cite because it shows where the order can be found. That's the important bit. But good catch, regardless!

Why did Hardin reference ECF 347?

1760482168733.png

That had nothing to do with the Utah docs, it was entirely about Greer refusing to pay the previous sanction.

1760482079643.png

Did he bring it up simply because 347 happened to mention the threat of dismissal on an unrelated issue, and hoping the judges do the math on that? Weird. Seems like he would've done better to remind Bennett that he explicitly threatened case-ending sanctions if Greer refused to put out with the Utah documents.
