I don't know if its just the stores here, but I was in giant tiger today just picking up some whipped cream for my pie i got for thanksgiving(Canadian thanksgiving is on monday), and I noticed that the halloween section had actually shrunk since the last time i was in a couple weeks prior, and the christmas stuff has grown. i mean the halloween stuff had maybe 1 little shelf and a table near the door, and the christmas stuff has a whole section to itself, and its only half way through october. I was at walmart a few days prior, and noticing it was about 50/50 christmas and halloween-which makes at least little bit more sense. Walmart was carting out christmas stuff the first week of september long before the halloween stuff even came out. is halloween just dying or something, or am i suffering some kind of mandella-effect like stroke or something? i swear when i was a kid and a teenager, the halloween section was way bigger and almost exclusively out until about november when they change over to christmas stuff. then i noticed they started rolling out christmas stuff in late october, then early october, then late september and so on in small sections, but this year it seems like its big fucking sections in early september. i love christmas and all, but are they seriously trying to phase out halloween or something? if so, its sad they are doing that to halloween as i like that day, too.
