What are your favourite/most looked back upon political or history books? I admit, this question is simply to gain a read-list, as I'm newer to political and history books as a whole.

Most of these books don't have anything to do with the US but i'll recommend some anyway:

"The Bloody White Baron" by James Palmer - about the Mad Russian Baron Ungern-Sternberg invading Mongolia and freeing it from the Chinese, while also fighting against the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War. It's a biography of the Baron and a broad over view of the Russian far east and Mongolia during that time period. Really good bit of history that is basically completely forgotten outside of Mongolia. Only two negatives: some of the author going over geopolitics can be a little dry. Also at one point the author suggests that Sternberg may have been gay cause there is not an account of him being with any women, despite the fact he has already been established by that point to be completely fucking insane. It's not really an argument the author makes, it's only like a paragraph, but stood out to me how out of place it was.

"Asian Odyssey" by Dmitri Alioshin - Referenced in the previous book as a source, I got this book from a place that makes facsimiles. You can find it for free online. It is the memoir of a White Russian Officer during the Russian Civil War, who travels across Russia and eventually winds up getting drafted into fighting for the mad baron. I once read some one called it "the Russian Blood Meriden" and I completely agree. Read this book if you want to read something where the only rule is that "... and then shit got worse".

"The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene - This book is a meme, but genuinely has some interesting historical stories in it.

"The Storm of Steel" by Ernst Junger - Get the original 1929 translation, as later editions have the more gory parts taken out. It is the personal memoir of a German officer throughout the entirely of WWI. He fights on the western front. This book has everything: the horrors of extended artillery bombardments, the excitement of getting drunk and going on nighttime raids against the English, the importance of and how to be a leader, the absolute fucking cowardice of the French, part of a chapter on slaughtering a Scottish brigade wearing kilts running away from combat, and my favorite, the chapter titled "Against Indians" that details the near total annihilation of an Indian company attacking two platoons of Germans. You could make a good action movie out of this book.

"Poland" by James A Michener - A historical fiction that details the history of Poland, both cultural and military, at various points through various characters. Published in 1983. Really good, however I haven't finished reading it. I got the the late 1700's and there's some Polish noblewoman throwing a party and going into excruciating detail about the food she is serving. It's a narrative device to showcase traditional Polish food, but I couldn't get through it and put the book down.

"Roaming Through the West Indies" by Harry A. Franck - The oldest book I own, I have an original copy from 1920. It's a travel log of a guy starting in Savannah, Georgia and going around the Caribbean. I bought the book for a few dollars, mostly cause of how old it is and how much the author puts the word "nigger" in it. I've thumbed through it every now and then but haven't actually read it from front to back. One part I remember is the author describing visiting a Spanish fort in Cuba. He writes he was struck by the silence cause the Cuban people are a loud race, making noise at every opportunity. I'll probably start reading it front to back this weekend.

Thank you for reading my blog post. I am drunk.

Not quite, since the 4chan hack and the site going down for a bit a while ago a lot of /vt/ migrated there and stuck around cause IDs make schizo falseflagging harder, and the mods don't engage in it themselves like the tranny jannys on 4chan do. Seems like most of 8chan's traffic now is their vt threads.
No you're mixing up .moe with 8chan or 8kun as it's called now. Mark's bunker board has done very well for itself though I admit but it's not the original site. If you look at 8kun.top you'll see like the majority of activity being focused on the /q/ board.

Some places are Brave New World, others are 1984/Animal Farm. Either way, they're both worth reading.
All three are similar in having bleak endings as well, though the main thing which makes me side with Huxley over Orwell is his essentially saying the world is run by corrupt people who keep the secularized population docile with meds and porn. I know the proles in 1984 are fed beer and sports, but at the same time when you stop and look how widespread porn is, the former speaks volumes rather than the latter since sex is clamped down on in 1984.

That is because Huxley admits to being apart of the ruling class and making that world. He says so here.

Sorry, didn't think it had to be said really, Trump. He's a charismatic figure with a giant number of supporters, many of whom downright worship him, and take his every word unquestioningly. Some of his supporters in no exaggeration, ascribe divine meaning to his presidency and movement.
10 years ago, the average American hated all politicians, now a large chunk of them downright worship one.

This will probably earn me no friends, but I am not a Trump supporter by any stretch of the imagination, and I do not see him, his administration, or his tenures as president as productive, competent, or successful. Furthermore, he constantly plays on his supporter's fears of a changing world and a changing country (This is not to say I am a progressive, I am not), fears of crime, fears of conspiracy, and often blends in the faith in Christ many of his supporters possess to lend credence to his movement. (This is not to demean Christianity either, but the misuse of religion by demagogues.)

We live in a time and place where people are depressed, angry, fed up, tired, and alone, and Trump has rolled in to fill this void in satisfaction for millions of Americans, but I do not think that he is a positive influence on our country or our people.
I've seen a lot of administrations come and go. Both Democrat and Republican. Nobody is like Trump. Not even Reagan.

The reason why Trump commands so much charisma is because his is the only president who actually cares about his voters. All of his voters. He's the only president who is trying to actually help regular people in tangible ways instead of giving nicely worded, vague speeches written by his staff of speech writers.

WTF do you mean that he isn't productive, competent or successful? Are you paying attention to the news? Trump has gotten more done in his first year of this term of office (which isn't even over) than most presidents do during their entire term. He's changing the economy for the better of the people, he's ending world conflicts, he's improving healthcare (trying to cure the autism plague for god's sake!), taking on criminals and drug lords, fighting corruption. I can't even list everything he's accomplishing.

Plays on fears of a changing world and country, crime, conspiracy - lol! Have you been asleep for the last decade? Do you not see a severe change with a nation flooded by illegals, homeless, criminals? We had a corpse for a president, and the entire journalist class pretended that wasn't the case for four years - how's that for conspiracy? People are actually depressed, angry, fed up, tired, alone. Inflation fucked the nation. The economy was doomed. The government shut down the country for the first time in it's entire history in a completely authoritarian manner. Rampant censorship of information was going on. Total collusion between corporations, government, and big tech was going on.

I don't know if you're high or this is a troll, but you need to get a clue, dude.

Beginning a pseudo-military operation to round up migrants isn't going to fix birthright citizenship or migrants overstaying their visas or businesses employing illegals, they're going to sweep up a few hundred thousand, and call it a day.
The fear campaign created by ICE will likely deter more illegal migrants than they will deport. CNN playing this up and freaking out over it works as propaganda to scare illegals out of trying. Border crossings are at record lows as a result.

Trump already tried to revoke birthright citizenship it was unsurprisingly blocked by some liberal faggot judge. It is current scheduled to be decided by the Supreme Court.

Trump is reducing the number of H1B and other visas being issued. I do agree he could do more to punish the companies hiring but has to walk the line of not pissing off too many factions. Considering Zuckerberg, Elon, and Bezos are all playing along and supporting him he's gotta use the allies he's got.

I personally think he is going to easy on the illegals he should be arresting them and making them slaves. He should offer monetary incentive for random citizens to round them up and use them as slaves similar to bounty hunters.

What would you do differently if you were president?

I do not see this as the old guard taking back power,
You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded, but here's a point you need to learn.

We can't go back. The past is dead. The old failed, now it is time for the new. We didn't elect Trump to fix the system. We chose him to beat the living shit out of the system with a tire iron and then curbstomp it until it stops moving. He is doing an incredible job by the way, everyone says so. Probably the best job that has ever been done, ever. Anyway.

When President Trump retires, we are going to choose someone else to continue the sacred mission of fucking up our enemies, wrecking their faggy plans, and making them cry like faggots. Because we can't go back. We're doing something new instead.

The present is amazing. The future is going to be awesome. And don't forget:

IIRC the proles in 1984 are not only allowed porn but the Party actually produces state sponsored porn just for them. It's the Outer Party where that's heavily policed.
