I think a lot about this situation. It feels like conservatives keep Destiny stuck in the “dirtbag” stage, meaning he’s portrayed as unpleasant, confrontational, morally bankrupt, an asshole, etc.—without highlighting his “lolcow” side involving sexual degeneracy, CSAM allegations, and similar issues. The only group I see doing this successfully is Kino Casino, which treats Destiny more as an object of entertainment. Destiny is a professional rage-baiter who can gaslight people into seeing him primarily as a dirtbag asshole essentially overemphasizing that side of him to keep his lolcow side out of focus. Honestly, if conservative media really wanted to destroy Destiny, they could, and he wouldn’t recover.
I think they prefer to use the “dirtbag Destiny” image because he’s bad PR. Piers Morgan did that quite effectively. Hasan, on the other hand, is treated more as an enemy pictured as “evil” because he represents the young left. Hasan fuels figures like Bernie Sanders and AOC (he’s even done interviews with them), who are much bigger forces for the DNC, acting as their radical mascots. I think that shows how comfortable the community feels going after Hasan because they’ve been primed for it like going after someone like Boogie, where nobody would care. At some point, that community becomes a useful tool for conservative or bipartisan media shaping the narrative. Moist has mentioned being more left/liberal-leaning, so it would make more sense for him to go after controversies like Asmongold’s—but it all depends on which wave of gamers he’s following. I also feel that Hasan is poorly defended by his community. Destiny’s community is far more fanatical (just look at the “Asian tranny” ); they’re ready to sacrifice themselves for the cuck. You don’t get that same energy from Hasan’s community, where he constantly argues with his chat and seems more isolated, making him an easier target.
