I don't think she KILLED Rarity. Based on the facts we actually have, I think she intentionally let that cat out so she wouldn't have to go home. It is completely illegal in the state of Wisconsin under Chapter 951 of the Wisconsin statutes. Wisconsin law prohibits animal cruelty, including causing unnecessary pain, disfigurement, or death to an animal. I believe there are some exceptions, including kill shelters, vet practices, and if a court demands an animal be euthanised ethically within a ruling (the animal has attacked a human or another animal and caused harm or death). I actually believe that causing disfigurement, mutilation, or death to an animal in Wisconsin is a felony and can result in a class 1 felony charge.

I'm not entirely sure if I believe the "Amber let rarity out expecting emily to come home and find her but then miscalculated and rarity actually escaped" narrative.

Emily said she always found rarity immediately after searching, so I don't think there's really a situation to "bond over" with if that was Amber's plan.

Amber could've easily just lied over text and said rarity was missing without releasing her and baited Emily to come home.
