Have we hit some weird depression era with Karl? Self reflection on being shit at everything he attempts due to being unable to keep his degenerate bullshit out of it all?
Fingers crossed that he's entering some sort of hilarious scat fetish arc inspired by the secretions from trannies' intestinal pseudovaginas.

There was a recent thread on AR15.com about Karl where members were ragging on him for being kicked out of his Satanic church for being too big of a piece of shit, and how even his own father didn't want him. It died after a few pages because as big of a joke as Karl is, he's just not worth anything to anyone.

Dollars to donuts says Karl read that and it really hit home that even after the years since he was outed, he's still just a joke in the gun world.

I think unless he troons out his channel will just peter out. he isn't doing much anymore except being mildly annoying to his former friends on twitter.

He does clickbait occasionally. Speaking of which, he has uploaded another opinion piece.

It's a shame he was so against publishing material from Ukraine before/during the Small Military Operation or he would learn that optics can break in war. Even vets from the GWOT era occasionally talk about their optic breaking and not being given a replacement.
Now if he means shooting trash in a gravel pit cardboard on a flat range, he's got a point.

Not for nothing, but so can iron sights.

From a military perspective, I look at it more from the training and issuing POV than reliability. I can't find the report now, but I thought I read somewhere that the Danish? military has switched back to training shooting fundamentals with iron sights, because the results went down after using optics from the getgo. Also, while optics are getting cheaper, iron sights are still cheaper to put on a new rifle. And the vast majority of military rifles have been procured with them. Of your deployed military force, probably 20-30% are expected to shoot at enemies with their rifle. For the rest, it's a self-defence weapon. At this point in time, still no need to purchase optics for those rifles.

"Iron Sights Are Obsolete"
Words spoken by every fading eyesight boomer before and after him. I don't recall anyone in their prime saying those words whether they wore corrective lenses or not. Once depth perception starts to fade you need an optic of some sort. I dodged the boomer generation by a few years but the eyesight curse takes no prisoners.

Mastering iron sights is the most important thing about shooting. It's about the fundamentals. You kids and your whizz-bang 4x-20x LPVOs and EOTechs with magnifiers will never know the joy of shooting a bullseye target with just the buckhorn sights on your grandpappy's deer rifle.

They talk about practice and then say iron sights are too crude and difficult in the same breath

I'll always prefer irons over specialized optics/red dots. Granted, part of that is just how my own eyesight works, and part of it is because I can't afford to blow $1000+ on some super tier one operator package and don't really see the point in doing so when 90% of the time I'm going to be shooting at paper in an indoor range.

It's because like too many other Guntuber channels, they're not focused on practical firearm usage and more focused on doing an operator LARP with their Gucci gamer guns at competitions. Which I imagine can be fun, but it's not something that I think the majority of gun owners or recreational shooters are doing.

One of the biggest things that made me stop watching him before his troondick-sucking came to light. Him passing off his uneducated, unprofessional and unfounded opinions as hardcore indisputable fact. He used to do it all the time in Q&A's with Ian.

He's a freaking IT nerd. He don't know dick about shit about if iron sights are 'obsolete' or not.

Double posting will continue until morale improves adding quotes in an edit isn't a massive pain in the dick.

Just look at the WWSD. It's prob a fine bench rifle for punching paper and I'm sure you'll appreciate the weight saving as you march from your vehicle to the bench and back. But that's all it is. No way on God's green earth would I trust a plastic all-in-one lower to anything more than occasional paper punching. If Stoner were alive today and they tried to show him that he would be like 'wtf is this commie garbage get the fuck out of my office'. Who needs durability, modularity, and repairability when you can have a giant chunk of plastic that you can't adapt or change at all? Let alone fix when/if the grip or stock gets damaged?

Doubleposting should just be fine if it's within a certain timeframe. Why does this site not automatically merge two posts at this point. This was a forum feature in like 2010.

People can edit their previous post, add the extra content, and then delete the double post. Or just not double post at all and edit the previous post. They're just fucking lazy. Anyway.

"Iron sights are irrelevant and you want the space on the rail for other stuff, lasers, lights, IR, all that stuff"

The number of civilians that own a decent set of NVGs, and would ever need a fucking IR laser to go with them, in addition to the flashlight, and I'm assuming visible laser, is so fucking miniscule it isn't an audience worth speaking to. Nevermind the fact that you've got what, 6-10" of quad rail or otherwise mountable space on the forend of so many carbines these days, how are you running out of room?

Last I looked into the shit seriously, which admittedly was years ago, a decent set of NVGs was going to set you back $5,000-$8,000. If that's still even remotely true (and no the NVGs that came with the call of duty black ops special edition like the RC car version are not "decent") how many people who can actually afford that are seriously going to weigh their rifle down with a bunch of shit and then expect a boogaloo to kick off where they'd expect to be using it?

And then this fat fuck "I can't think of any incident where a set of backup iron sights would have helped me at a match" because you're rolling around in the fucking desert in front of a berm at 50 feet playing tactical operator, not actually doing anything productive or you wouldn't be such a fat fuck. Then indicates some time a decade ago that some red dot failed in a match, and he had irons, but somehow irons wouldn't have helped even though he says it was the red dot lost zero and not like he couldn't see through the optic? What the fuck sense does that make? What the fuck was he shooting at with a red dot that irons wouldn't be useful for out to 300'?

And then the comment
If you're worried about batteries, get a prismatic sight or an ACOG.
ACOGs with tritium don't last forever.

And then he mumbles some shit about "modern" $120 red dots while complaining about another vortex on a "heavier recoiling rifle" while never stating what the rifle supposedly was? And then he mentions a backup red dot? Is this pimp my ride? Yo dawg you need a red dot for your red dot.

Then a discussion about combat? Neither of these fucks know anything about combat, and claiming "anything that would kill the red dot would kill the rifle itself" Excuse me? Talking about using the QD mount... so use 45 degree irons retard.

I don't think it's a good use of their funds if you're trying to become functional with the gun to put a lot of effort into mastering iron sights. Like if you have the same amount of time and money available, you're better served getting good with the red dot. And if you have irons, great. Have a rudimentary understanding how they work. But like I wouldn't put a lot of time and training focus into getting good with irons.

This man is a fucking lunatic. He doesn't have enough discipline to put the fucking fork down so why should anyone take him seriously about any training or time spent focusing on anything when he clearly can't do shit himself? Then they discuss adjustable irons, as in quickly adjustable for windage and elevation and explain how people will never do that in combat... well no shit? But you're not going to be doing that with your red dot either. And then complaining about having so many adjustable knobs on things... so then stop buying shit covered in adjustment knobs and bolting it to your rifle? I can't continue listening to these retards, they're already giving me a headache.

One of the distinguishing features of the midwit is that his slightly-above-average IQ gives him the ability to "prove" anything by constructing his own genius argument constructed from a tiny sample of cherrypicked "evidence" or, more often than not, purely from the bottomless cesspit of his own biases (known to philosophers as "first principles").

(This does not contradict the midwit's usual insistence on instant submission to the opinions of "experts" since he believes himself to be an expert on any issue he feels strongly enough about.)
