Which leads me to believe...yes, she did get scammed again.

@Calgal It depends on the circumstance. When she's telling the truth and goes into detail, she is excited and prattles on without hesitation (e.g., first night with Nader, beginnings of scamsion). When she's lying and goes into detail, there's a lot of hesitation (usually beginning with the words "What happened was...") and the details don't add up. When she wants to avoid a subject, because she knows it will make her look like a fool and/or she doesn't want to get lectured by her Beezers, she brushes it off as quickly as possible (e.g., finding out she was scammed). IMO, if she had gotten her money back, she would have shared the information without being asked. No "detail" required. Just a simple "Oy got moy money refunded today."

Actually, I find that she doesn’t over explain when she’s telling the truth. When she lies she lets out a weird huff of breath and then goes into too much detail. I do think she got it back, she’s just absolutely hooped on getting a place with her name and history!

Some people with access to insulin attempt suicide with this method.

This is what people are misunderstanding about Chantal in Syria. People assume she secretly hates the conditions because THEY would hate the conditions.

Leaving aside the visitors and socializing situation, Chins is just fine with living her current lifestyle in Syria. She doesn't give a shit about medical care. She doesn't care about speaking to people other than Salah, the quality of the furniture and housing, being able to go outside and do things, having legal rights, etc.

She's able to live the same lifestyle, in day-to-day terms, in Syria as she did in Kuwait. She's more comfortable than she would be in Canada because she has Salah to go fetch takeout and ice cream for her. The only thing she dislikes is having Salah's relatives around.

From her perspective, her life would be WORSE in Canada. It's not a cope. She doesn't give a shit about her health and doesn't want to do anything except seal and eat.
