Without being that straight up about it, i've found this approach is the best way to debunk this faggot ass argument. Yes everyone does everything for deterministic reasons. Hitler didn't just wake up and decide to hate jews, nobody just decides to beat their wife for no reason, i didn't just decide explain how retarded this guy is for no reason it's because his argument is retarded and misses the point: this theoretical person's crimes are causing problems in society regardless of his bohoo sob story reason for doing them.

It's the same dynamic on a macro scale. During the summer of love in 2020 we heard "riots is da voice of the unheard! You shouldn't be getting angry about that burning building but about WHY people feltz da need to burn dat sheit!" Then after january 6? "What awful fucking people throw them all in jail how dare they!"

Basically when people pull this "they can't help themselves" crap just get them to admit that they're completely selective with what people/actions need to be treated like babies vs adults.

I just don't get it. If they have a plan I don't see it. Dems in the last few days have torched years worth of, well not good will exactly, but any level of respect they might have had from independent voters or the moderate left by just blatantly lying and sperging out since the shutdown over funding and importing illegals while Trump and the GOP have just been getting shit done. Were they always this blatantly retarded or did Trump just mindbreak them by getting back in office?

As certain you are that this is what is happening, the Democratic party, bolstered by echo chambers like Reddit, believe the people are just as much against everything President Trump is doing. All you really need is to pay attention to the ‘correct’ narratives.

Under prior circumstances, they would get away with it. Much gnashing of teeth and fear over decorum had the old right 'compromising' by getting nothing and giving the dems whatever they wanted. This is one of the few times in recent memory when they have basically no leverage, no cards, and their idea of negotiation has been turned down.

While I believe they are absolutely retarded, this specifically is less retardation and more them trying to fight the new war the way the old one played out. Their tactics and goals are outdated, they're not prepared to fight a Trump government that stopped caring about the imaginary backroom rules of the system, and will actually just do things first and ask forgiveness later like they always do.
