Never had any significant nonpublic conversations with him, but had kind of hoped he'd gotten this bullshit out of his system after botching the sodium nitrite method. Hope he botched it this time too and is chilling in a loony bin somewhere.

(And incidentally shit like this is why I avoid out of band communications for the most part with people here because this site is full of fucking lunatics, including me.)

I can't say it's terribly surprising but it is a bit disappointing if he chose to go out in an eruption of pure bathos.

I did some digging into @BrunoMattei after hearing about the Community Happenings post about it. I checked the KF breach, and his IP address seems to be "66.24.28.222" (geolocated to Elmira, New York). I tried searching the email breach with his account (blankggpoemail@gmail.com), but came up short.

However, upon hearing he had a Twitter account, I checked it's history and found the username "SongsofMaldoror / AlexanderKattke", further confirming that's his Twitter account. This is the previous history of that account:

The request he sent the OP is all ego and rationalized pettiness in response to narc injury. If he killed himself, it was for the sake of punishing someone who stopped allowing him to manipulate them with threats of suicide.

Though my own interactions with the alleged deceased were positive, I expect my impressions to change as I skim the mediocrity which (apparently) poured out of him in his frustrated pursuit of being seen and hailed as something or another.

He presented as basically normal 95% of the time. There were a few blog posts he had made that hinted otherwise, but unless you were paying attention it would have been easy to overlook. The only reason I knew he didn't have his head screwed on straight is that a year or so ago he triumphantly declared that he had failed a suicide attempt and spent a weekend in the ICU. There were a few minor follow up posts addressing that, but for the most part unless you were looking for it, you would have had no idea anything was wrong with him. Well, he did spend an inordinate amount of time talking about Italian horror movies, but aside from that I mean.
 
I dunno guys, I'm not gonna celebrate his suicide, but skimming through this thread and his writing, he also didn't seem like a great guy honestly (assuming this is not a larp).
He seemed like a walking time bomb that was bound to hurt someone else eventually. This might have been the best outcome.

"Etcetera etcetera que sera sera" almost works. It's almost clever. It gets so close to success, but ultimately it falls flat. The second etcetera trips on the que and the seras have to stumble forward to catch their footing. Say it out loud if you don't believe me.
