I think it's the difference between an SJW being "an individual focusing on social justice" and woke being "the ideology a SJW is trying to push", so in common parlance saying "woke" implied that the person was a SJW pushing woke ideology.

"Woke" IIRC comes specifically from negroes talking about their racial grievance shit. The transition from "SJW" to "woke" marks the transition, in my view, from the phenomenon taking on the racial dimension of the American Negro's grievances with White America, rather than just being some generic histrionic White Female College Student's attention-seeking behavior.

No, it absolutely is. We are talking four 150-180gr soft point bullets, which have exposed lead tips so they expand rapidly like a hollow point, out of rifle cartridges known for cleanly killing deer with a single shot. And these aren't 100yd shots being taken, but more like 30ft. It's close range. We've been doing firing squads for a couple hundred years now and they had it down to a science by the early 20th Century. These aren't 9mm or some other handgun cartridge, but rifle cartridges that have a proven track record of cleanly dropping deer and other medium sized game out to 150yds with a single shot to the vitals. There really isn't much to go wrong, and that much hydrostatic shot and copper jacketed lead to your chest is pretty much guaranteed to flip your light switch off permanently, not to mention damage to the other vital organs and the spine. Because it's actually more effective and humane than other forms of execution, more states are adopting it or re-adopting it, at least as an option. I believe we are up to five or six states now that use firing squads for capital punishment. It may actually be more since the last time I looked into it.

It's basically a African-American term for being "red pilled" on white people, or discrimination, or something. Ironically the people who are now considered "woke" are actually the most asleep blue pilled people on the fucking planet.

Let go of old definitions of words. It doesn't matter what it use to mean, it's how people use it now. Self-identify leftists are aggressively anti-worker demanding mass immigration of all forms, legal or otherwise. Suppressing wages, causing housing prices to rocket. When you point this out they'll say "uhm actually leftists are for the workers don't you know? don't you feel silly?". Leftism is whatever leftists say and do, try not to get bogged down in the history of labels.

But therein lies the problem where appropriate action was taken against him. He didn't IMPLY it, his exact words were
"The Maga Gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."
So he literally presented falsehood as truth, and knowingly doing so knowing that it could incite further violence or impede a law enforcement investigation is NOT protected under Free speech laws, and is in direct violation of FCC code.
He told his audience that Tyler Robinson was maga and that maga was desperately making up excuses for him to not be maga. This was FIVE DAYS after the shooting, long after the authorities and the press had revealed that this kid was a left-wing antifa faggot furry with a tranny boyfriend.
He didn't get in trouble for the dishonesty, he didn't get in trouble for implying something, he got in trouble for violating FCC codes about presenting false statements as facts that can incite further violence or impede a law enforcement investigation.
This is not a free speech issue, this is a Jimmy Kimmel is a dumb fucking wally who thought that he could get away with anything because his ego exceeded his talent.
