Literally why. When i think of tanks for example, I literally thibk of badass harxened man that endured kiterall hell on earth and that is coold and badass as fuck. Meanwhile weebs literaly steal ACTUAL VALOR FRO M ACTUAL WAR VETERANS THAT BLED AND DOED FOR THEIR COUNTRY in favor of LITERAL ANIME LITELL GIRLS AGED 12-. WHAT THE FUCK NIGGERS. littel girls literlally have ZSRO INTEREST in male hobbies, let aloene in ADULT MALE THINGS. They play with stupid retarxed plushies and play family with their plastic doolss and annoy their big brothers and ask stupid questions you have to make up shit to answer. I know that from first hand experience. They literally would NEVRE EVEN THEORETICALLY DP THINGS THE JAPS AND THEIR FOLLOWERS DEPICT THEM DOING. THEY WOULD NEVER DRIVE A TA K OR CARS ABOUT ITS INNER MECHANICSMS OR MECHANICS IN GENERAL. FHEY WOULD NEVER PLAY TEAM ADULTS SPORTSOR DO ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY MILITARY RELATED. I know it sounds awful but it's true. I hate it as well but Gundam really was saved by fujoscum. The creator of the series has said it once or twice himself.

Something something Japanese women were highly shamed for having sexual desires so that's why they lived vicariously through boy love/yaoi/gay. Gay fiction was less shameful than a woman showing sexual desire. It's seen as impure and all.
It's gotten better but it's still there obviously. That's why there's the meme of Japanese porn with the girls seemingly hating it.

I learned all of this against my will. It's hard to have normal female friends online.

For Westerners at least, I think it's because they can see sexy women without feeling any shame. They can deflect anyone calling them gooners and hentai addicts because they're "ackshually strong, powerful, independent women" and for anyone who tries to call them out, they can wave them off as not understanding the media's deeper themes or story.

Goddess of Victory: Nikke is a good personal example. Despite the game being gooner bait, I still tried to give it a chance cause of the story and themes. I did find it pretty alright from what little I played, but as the fanservice for these strong, independent women got more risque, I dropped it.

You'll also usually find that in these types of media especially for other gacha games like Nikke, the character the player plays as is a male commander, officer, etc. who is in charge of these girls and they all gush over him. It’s all a self insert fantasy as these weebs can say they're playing the game for the story and strong female characters, but still have some semblance of control over them.

TLDR: Weebs deflecting any accusation of being gooners by saying they're fans of the story and strong female characters and not the goonerbait.

Military spergery is something like a 95% male dominated hobby. So basically almost no women are into it. As a result you get fanservice thats all just women in uniform.

The non-bullshit reason is because (despite what some fans say) a lot of anime is made for kids, and thus the characters will be kids. And its girls because that causes people to immediately empathize with them.

And yes, sometimes it happens for gross reasons as well. This is Japan after all.

But most of the time its the same deal as why things like Teen Titans exist.
