I don't see why Clint wouldn't release it as "a cautionary tale." He seems like a decent enough of a guy to do that. If it was something more nefarious, like JESSICA BOYLE poisoning him (which I always looked as a long shot but a possibility) he definitely would.I'm fine if the report never comes to light. He had a litany of health problems, so we can all make educated guesses. I just desperately hope he wasn't consciously aware of it.
It's only really for Clint and his folks to know.
You could still do something similar to that. Go visit the landmarks of Cobra, like the cemetery he'd visit with a luigi board or the Wendy's he used to work at.My grand fantasy was to actually go visit cobra and have a beer with him. (Not too fuck with him, or get on stream) a grave would be nice, to sit down and drink a shot of something.
who the fuck is Joel SomderthWell, got my order of the deluxe edition of Life Ain't Fair and it appears they did indeed prepare the autograph inserts in advance...

Someone earlier in the thread suggested a scholarship program that would help disabled children get into music. I could get behind that.Something that could be done but would require kiwis with a J.D is establish a trust. Everyone pools money together to buy the black and green bench. Get a little extra and put it into a money market account or something like that to pay for maintenance and repairs. Another route to go would be establishing a non-profit, something like the king cobra JFS memory fund.
That was me! I think a music/“beat to your own drum” scholarship for more vulnerable kids would be perfect.Someone earlier in the thread suggested a scholarship program that would help disabled children get into music. I could get behind that.
Having Clint or possibly even Null organize the fundraiser would be ideal, or just someone credible in the community that isn't going to run off with the money. Idk if anyone could get in contact with Clint and see if he wants to take that on or even have it done to begin with, the celebration of life would be a good time to fundraise.+1 park bench donator, maybe see if Homedad wants to be the one "in charge" of the money since i'll sperg out if I get ripped off.
I think we need to give Clint some serious space for a while. This might be something worth reaching out to him about in a year or so.Having Clint or possibly even Null organize the fundraiser would be ideal, or just someone credible in the community that isn't going to run off with the money. I genuinely think this could be a cool thing. I couldn't donate to the animal rescue because paypal issues, so I'd happily donate to something else in Josh' memory.Someone earlier in the thread suggested a scholarship program that would help disabled children get into music. It'd be prudent to respect that the family needs peace. As much as I want to "do more" for them, we need to remember we're just observers and it'd be cowtipping. We could wait and see what's happened 1 year post-Cobra.I think we need to give Clint some serious space for a while. This might be something worth reaching out to him about in a year or so.
I am pretty sure he was just a true and honest fan who had a chance to go down to casper and pay his respects for a few days. He for sure gave off military vibes but i dont think he ever confirmed or denied it. I watched that saga live and got the impression that he was just a lolcow enjoyer who was in the right place at the right time. He dropped a lot of different lolcow references while he was there from wingsofredemption to jason genova quotes.was that dood playing Josh like some military spy unit to get his hehehe's on Reddit? Or was he all in as a fan or something. Idk why but he stands out and it's been buggn me.
The man just lost his son. The last thing he needs right now is to wrangle donations from randos around the world and then to figure out how to establish and run a nonprofit.Having Clint or possibly even Null organize the fundraiser would be ideal, or just someone credible in the community that isn't going to run off with the money. that could be possible. its also possible the saunders family has a group plot somewhere and they plan to put cobes in there later on down the line. some people will be cremated and still buried though in the case of cobes i think clint will just keep him there to avoid troles and sickos fucking with the grave and maybe place him somewhere later on when nobody is aware.I know burial funerals are very expensive, but did Clint have Cobes cremated instead of buried because he didn't want there to be a grave?
Would he be worried it would be vandalised? Don't know if I'm missing something like it was Cobes' wishes.
That's fair, I'm thinking for the memorial bench he could oversee an indigogo or gofundme for it if he wanted to. It's 100% understandable if he wouldn't want to, but he'd be the most trustworthy person to do it. Also we should maybe get his input for spots to put it or if he wants people to do it in the first place. If it went over the bench amount he could also put some of the money towards other costs like the funeral expenses, I am just spitballing though I really like the bench idea. The man just lost his son. Josh's obituary specified the Casper Humane Society and autism charities (just not Autism Speaks) as worthy recipients of gifts in his memory. While the sentiment of a memorial bench or a new scholarship or something similar is well meaning, it's unnecessary to establish something new at this time. Worst case, such a thing could attract scammers and other bad actors. Best case, it's an added burden applied to an already grieving family.
If you feel compelled to make a donation in Josh's memory, the nonprofits that Clint already identified are probably the best choice. No need to make things more complicated.
Also fair, it's less likely to get vandalized if the a-logs have time to move on tooI think we need to give Clint some serious space for a while. This might be something worth reaching out to him about in a year or so.
I love the idea, I love that you can make it green and black, if we can't get it put into the cemetery for whatever reason I think a dog park would be another good spot, or just somewhere scenic. I'd kind of like it if it was somewhere Clint and the rest of his fam frequent as well so they could make use of it.
