I know a gen-z couple, straight, just right at legal drinking age. I've noticed something and maybe someone else has too and has a better way of putting it into words that me but:
When these 2 talk to each other it seems like there is a general inclination to choose (expository?) words such that a stranger walking by would much more easily be able to know what the conversation is about. I really can't think of anything example from these 2 but think of like 2 roofers on tv talking to each other saying "let's get the three quarter inch decking done first then use an aluminum extension ladder to carry the squares of shingles up 2 at a time..." Instead of "you ready to start?"
Do people do that in texts? I gave a tv example because I absolutely think it's these 2 watching lots and talking like them.
