I don't sympathize with whoever that is, but I do think this Charlie Kirk discussion has (ironically) been totally poisoned. It's been poisoned by a fumbled FBI investigation, sensationalist media, sensationalist administration who fumbles, and social media being an easy platform for people to radicalize, flame and annoy each other.

I think the more important developments will begin happening after his funeral takes place (Sunday), the event has been shocking events one after the other, from the assasination itself to the response of the people in the aftermath.

Moving forward, something will have to be done, a lot of people make their living by being public figures and if one of them gets shot on in public with no consequence then you might as well never go out if you are a right-wing commentator.

I was watching her stream mostly just for the fuck of it and, I did actually end up taking interest in part of the segment where she claims that Lance's family reached out to her to suggest that they're unsatisfied with the official narrative. Of course, she could just be straight up bullshitting, etc. but, I still thought it was worth noting in some capacity. I've included a clip and summarized the important parts of their (alleged) testimony:

• The house that Tyler and Lance lived in is owned by Lance's family so Tyler was paying rent to them via Lance; Tyler was never introduced to Lance's family despite Lance supposedly wanting to do so.
• Lance, before he lived with Tyler, lived with his extended family since his parents kicked him out because he had "issues"; Lance's extended family then also kicked him out once he graduated high school.
• Lance supposedly has had problems with drugs and almost "overdosed" on alcohol approximately three years ago.
• Lance's family disapproves of the media's sympathetic portrayal of Lance and believes more people are involved; they said he spends a lot of time online and described him as "deep web" (lol)
• Lance's family corroborates the rumor that there was "unusual traffic" in the neighborhood in the week leading up to the shooting.

I'm personally taking everything here with a grain of salt but again, I just thought it was worth keeping it down somewhere for anyone who's interested for whatever reason.

A chance at redemption and forgiveness. A chance to right the wrongs they helped create. A chance to live a happy, productive life and leave a freer, safer and healthier America for our children and grandchildren. Pushing for the death penalty might be a mistake and taking the bait now that I think about it. Life in prison would deny him the martyrdom the left will undoubtedly try to give him as they reframe everything. Not killing him could also be a mercy for his family who are conservatives and to the cardinal who didn't keep the confession private. Not having blood on their hands will help them cope.
Regardless of what the judge calls, it's best not to cheer for either verdict but maintain a level of disgust rather than glee so that this doesn't feed the propaganda machine any more than it already has.

Observation- any death penalty will take some time to happen, likely years. By then this guy will have rotted on death row and likely have become a trivia question. Remember Timothy McVeigh? Likely not many do.

The investigation has been questioned. Could always have gone better but the guy was caught within 36 hours. More killings than might be thought are never solved, or are solved many years later as cold cases. Interrogating the Discord group should be very interesting.
