I can somewhat agree, but at the same time, I think cutting it off and showing the public the result is a dramatically interesting thing to do. By removing the tap from liberal funding sources, it showed exactly how fake and gay liberal causes are quite effectively.

It would be good if we were to build it back over time but properly, if such a thing can be done.

Vaguely true, but a different situation. First, Rabin was vaguely center-Left, as much as other countries' politics map to the US, anyway. Second, the cause wasn't really at the time a right-left thing so much as the great question of land for peace, where giving up an inch is seen as heresy by some.

your mistake is assuming this is an abnormal state of affairs. the true redpill of the modern age, I think, is that the classical American idea of society - a collection of rational individuals who naturally pursue the knowledge necessary to make reasonable decisions in their self-interest - is an asinine fantasy. the absolute hard truth of the matter is that there will always be people in this world, a substantial number of people, who are incapable of governing themselves. this is the natural state of humanity, and one of the primary problems every society struggles with. the trajectory of American history itself can be attributed in part to a struggle between those who are fit to decide for themselves and those who are not. societal institutions do not fix this. education cannot remedy this. democracy is nothing more than a shitty solution to the problem of reliably separating the elites from the peasants, and it has failed. what is needed to stabilize the country, more than anything, is a more effective way of grooming and selecting leaders. our current system rewards only the most ambitious, which, when taken on its own, tends to overwhelmingly select for sociopathic narcissists, which is why our government leaders, business leaders, media leaders, and social leaders are all so fucking worthless. but this, again, is more or less the default state of humanity. whether we'll ever find a way past it remains to be seen.
