I’ve seen multiple people claim that he was right wing in this thread and other places online. I don’t want to powerlevel too much but I do live in Utah and I know the culture.

Tyler Robinson was probably a good kid growing up. He worked hard in school and got a scholarship. His parents probably raised him well and provided everything he needed to succeed. The family looks like the typical happy Utah family.

The problem in Utah is that it is much less Mormon than it used to be. There is a massive progressive movement in Utah and every election year that Utah stays red surprises me. Tyler probably was introduced to weird discord stuff, r/exmormon, and liberal talking points during his first year of university. Being young and dumb he probably jumped in both feet (at the expense of his education).

His parents are likely really good people and they should be left alone. The fact that the dad turned in his son shows that he believes strongly in the value of American society. If only Tyler had listened to Charlie rather than shooting him in the neck. He would have lived an exponentially better life.
