Black kids are the most neglected little things I've ever seen. There's this charity near here that takes low-income (read: 98% black) kids camping, teaches them about Jesus in the woods, real wholesome shit like that, and the stories I've heard from volunteers are ridiculous. One volunteer had to keep a group of kids entertained while waiting for their bus, so she tried to lead them in singing nursery rhymes like The Itsy Bitsy Spider or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. None of the kids had any idea what she was doing. They'd never heard nursery rhymes! Supposedly a big chunk of the kids couldn't even read, even the older kids were just straight-up illiterate and only got moved up grades because otherwise their schools would've lost funding. A lot of them have zero camping skills when they first join the charity, which is understandable since they're from a city environment and would never get to go camping otherwise, but they lack fundamental safety skills like starting a fire or keeping themselves afloat in water.
Even when whitey does everything in their power to help these kids, half the time all the good deeds amount to nothing. You can give a kid a free jacket for the winter and their shitass druggie mom will rip it off of them and sell it for money within the week. You give the kid food to take home, free breakfasts and lunches at school, free backpacks full of free school supplies, extracurricular programs, charities and organizations and scholarships and grants and benefits and all kinds of shit, but the buck stops dead at home where there is ZERO parental involvement to better their kids. No homework help, won't sign anything, nothing. Sometimes help is even rejected like it's some kind of insult.
Honestly, they could write (and probably have written) thousands of essays and books about the rampant neglect/abuse of black children by their parents/communities. It's tragic is what it is. I know this thread is of the mind that tabula rasa is bullshit, but I can't help but wonder if those kids had half-decent people who cared about them, if they wouldn't grow up to be less destructive and less violent than the "teens" we regularly see in this thread.

Well sure, "nature" and "nurture" both play a big part of it. Even if you take the most extremely "dim" view of the prospects of "domesticating" blacks, the notion of "nurture" becomes "teaching them through repetition and punishment how to behave properly among their betters like they did on the plantations." If you view them as human, then obviously upbringing has a big role to play in how they learn to behave as they grow up (proven by the presence of blacks who manage to hold good jobs by merit and behave themselves like humans in public).

Either way, the environment they grow up in has a big effect on their behavior. Whether it's "learning to be good" or "learning to avoid punishment by not being bad," the end result is the same.

And yeah, black parents generally treat their kids like dogshit. They're extra welfare checks, not "dependents" in their eyes.

I think I agree. I would only add that Lovecraft was *disgusted* by blacks more than he feared them. He considered them primitive subhumans, and, after a century of vilification from blank slate utopians, DNA research tells us he was actually correct.

So much of what he writes has the feel of the oak door passage from Camp of the Saints. He describes Victorian and Edwardian architecture with genuine affection, and is clearly sickened by the thought of primitive things occupying those structures without any appreciation for them or any ability or interest in maintaining them.
