And they'll never feel anything about it beyond a disturbing sense of pride within themselves.

They are the logical self aware end of "every villain is a hero in their own story". They know what they are doing is evil...if they werent the ones doing it because if they are doing it, its obviously a good deed now because its being done by a "good person ™️ " because a "good person ™️" (which they are*) would never do an evil thing because otherwise they wouldnt be a "good person ™️ "

That's what's so scary about it. You see people in your own circles, who you already knew not to speak to openly, celebrating his death with glee and you realize he was mild. He wasn't even that extreme. People all over the internet today are saying things like "Damn, he was a ZOGbot and he didn't deserve that." and then realizing people around them would put them down just as easily and laugh about it, or even claim they were the victims for being in proximity to a wrongthinker for so long.

I have a 30-06, I've shot a 30-06. I've shot 30-06's that were lightweight hunting rifles. NONE OF THEM HAD MORE RECOIL THAN A 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP SAYING THAT ITS PUNISHING RECOIL. 30-06 is literally .308 in a longer case for the vast majority of commercial loads.

The only rifles that have significant recoil usually have "magnum" or "45-70" scrawled on the side.
 
I will say, seeing redditors cry over professors and teachers losing their job over online comments, has brought me such schadenfreude. These are the same type of people that think a white person is worthy of doxxing and losing their job if they get into an argument with a black person. It's not an old rumor, it's part of the sensor testing suite for any android or iphone. Google's own geo-mapping of earth (a three dimensional map of all internet connected devices) is built by the handshaking (aka testing modes) of all android mobile handsets. Even if you "turn off" bluetooth and wifi, they are still enabled in testing mode, still reaching out to handshake with any internet-of-things devices. In this way, even with your phone connectivity 'disabled' Google can still map your mobile handset as it walks down the street, handshaking with every device on the block. This can be overlayed with the net data of accelerometers and other sensors onboard. And we all know who Google and Apple work with. Yes, you can be identified by your ass wiggle.

The question isn't about the technology, it's about who is accessing it.
