Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

Gun violence is a price to pay for having guns.
You cant have cars without car accidents.
You can't have births without some of them dying in the hospital.

Whether you think the tradeoff is worth it or not is the issue. Obviously trannies love guns and violence but hate the idea of having guns. Anyway I’m a retard-tier hobby osint observer of several different groups I think are spawning lone-actor violence, the two I think are most likely to have done this are: pro-Palestine, and troons.

The troons in question are your middle-aged man, AGP, military experience, typical male interest in weapons and murder. The kinds of who post trans gun selfies. Antifa adjacent, John Brown Gun Club types. I don't know much about Kirk's ideas, does he catch a lot of flack for calling for trans genocide? I think the troons are right on the cusp of producing shooters on this issue. They have really turned up the temperature about muh genocide since Trump came back. It’s just a matter of time before someone buys the ticket and takes the ride. However so far these guys are mostly talk.

The other one is leftist pro-Palestine types. If Kirk was a public pro-Israel guy, that's enough. There is very serious vitriol in the online pro-Palestine zone and a shitload of those people constantly feed each other “do something” Gaza genocide rhetoric. They've already produced a handful of killers. This would have seemed most likely to me except for how it sounds like (I know zero about guns) this shooter used a rifle from a moderate distance? The pro-Palestine people are not gun people. Their killings are low-tech, low-skill. They would shoot him up close with a handgun. I see gun guys in this thread casually dropping “oh yeah I could make that shot while eating cereal” but the free Palestine crowd overlaps so hard with urban leftist anti gun types that it’s pretty hard to imagine someone at a range with a rifle. Much more likely that these people would kill low tech up close and accept their own death or arrest, much less likely that they’d flee. They seek martyrdom, unlike the troons, who use self-defense rhetoric.

plus, even if it did, the risk of blowback would outweigh any possible benefit by a factor of at least 1000. getting caught doing something like this would be the end of american support for israel, which would put israel in an extremely terrible position. and you want to tell me that the jews would take a risk like that, to kill a guy who is like a 95/100 on the "how much do you love israel" scale? this is laughable, makes no sense at all.

Just booked a pitch for a tribute match for Charlie with proceeds going to his family.

Managed to get two teams together fairly quickly as well.

Hopefully it'll go someway towards helping them out during a very difficult time.

Also, I hope the community here do things to help Charlie's family out as well if they feel so inclined.

It does sound logical that if it is someone local/student, then it makes sense they would have the time and opportunity to plan this out easily than if the target was moving locations. But there are several things off with how things transpired. If we take the bald old guy to be a conspirator, why wasn't he local too? If he was local, surely the local police and/or feds would have a strong lead, since he would have ties to chase a lot faster than someone out of state? The FBI also stated they have images of the shooter and have had so for a couple of hours. Given the profile of the assassination, if he was local we would have the name and details of the shooter at least, if not for the shooter himself, right?

I am just hoping this time "giving it time" isn't just a code word for letting the story die out and hoping people forget.

They have CCTV footage of the suspect entering the building and then exiting by jumping from the roof and fleeing into local neighborhoods. They recovered a bolt action rifle from nearby woods. They canvassed nearby neighborhoods to see if they could obtain further footage of the suspect. They said they obtained a foot impression, hand print, and forearm impression. They said they're confident that they can identify the suspect but that they'll reach out to the media if they can't.

they also said the suspect was college-aged.

Yeah, it's obvious they know who they're looking for at this point.

If they had no idea, they'd be releasing the photos and video all over the place and offering million-dollar rewards for anyone with information leading to his capture.

They know exactly who it is, and either they're looking for a dead body (possible), or they're trying to figure out how to close in with a minimum of collateral damage.

Feds don't always go nab someone immediately, it can take a day or two even when there's a massive manhunt as they cross the t's and dot the i's. That guy who killed those girls at the university apartment in Idaho, Bryan whatever his name was, they took a minute to do that one too.

But when they know who it is, they won't release photos and videos until after everything's all done. It's partially to make sure they don't get interfered with (the shooter probably has people who would shelter him and help him evade the feds), and partially to avoid jury contamination for the inevitable literal federal case that will be made of it afterward.
