I think that's the issue though; he wasn't killed as a matter of happenstance. He was killed for expressing his beliefs. He wasn't a CEO or a politician, he was some guy who debated college kids. His opinions weren't even that radical, in fact, one of the last questions he answered before being killed was "Do you know how many trans people have been killed in the last ten years?" His response was: "Too many." That's a pretty middle-of-the-road take that even leftists would find reasonable.

That's the kind of opinion that gets you gruesomely murdered in front of the world. That's the line in the sand.

I'm not some Charlie Kirk fan, nor am I trying to trying to establish some parasocial relationship with him, but this is simply the case: Yesterday we watched a guy get killed for expressing unfashionable beliefs.

I think comparing some 90 year old cunt dying naturally to a father being executed in front of thousands of his fans and his family are a bit different.

The Minnesota senators, they were two things. One, they were old, they were in their 50's, this makes their death inherently less tragic. When younger people die, its more tragic. That's just how it works. If Trump had gotten killed, I would have been significantly less emotionally impacted than this young guy (whos roughly my age) being gunned down. His kids will never get to really know him.

The second thing they were, were elected officials. When you become an elected official, you become a part of the Government body. You are literally responsible for the acts the Goverment takes, on what ever level you are on.
