When contacted for reasons behind the cancellation, DC Comics provided the following statement: "At DC Comics, we place the highest value on our creators and community and affirm the right to peaceful, individual expression of personal viewpoints. Posts or public comments that can be viewed as promoting hostility or violence are inconsistent with DC’s standards of conduct."

Posts "promoting hostility or violence" have always been part of Micah's brand and he's been on the news a couple of times for that. I wonder how he got the job in the first place.

Well, I feel bad for Jeff Spokes and Taurin Clarke for losing a paycheck, but I assume they're going to get other projects at DC. Though the ease on of the cancellation makes me think it wasn't racking up pre-orders either way.

I'm browsing reddit threads about this comic and the reception is overall negative with people wondering why DC picked someone who doesn't even like comics to be the writer. My vote goes for a fellow tranny who jerks off to manhunt hiring him.

Again, anyone with half a brain could see that he's a huge liability and it's not like he's an established mainstream name to get away with this sort of behavior. They were basically cutting their losses on this one. Hell, maybe he knew that it wasn't doing well in pre-orders and that the series future was already up in the air, but I don't think he needs an excuse to go full retard.

It was because of the promoting hostility and violence. They thought it was a joke, then they saw a guy get his neck turned into soup and Micah is still giggling and celebrating political violence and you realize, “oh shit, he really means it” and you rethink your association with that person.

As much as I’d like to play superior on that issue, I had a similar experience less than 2 years ago. All the anti-white stuff seemed like a joke to me, but on October 7th you saw “civilized” “people” celebrating families being raped, slaughtered, and burned alive because they’re perceived as white and you realize that these people weren’t joking, they truly do hate white people.
