Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

I'm glad I've already unfollowed every leftoid sperg I'm connected with on Facebook. The grave dancing and political hostility was off the charts then, and I certainly don't need to see their hatred and sociopathic glee now.
The interactions I've had with coworkers, colleagues, and mentors over the years have degraded severely in quality. It used to be that we both ascribed to the true American value of "Even if we disagree, at least we're able to have peaceable discussions about said disagreement." I was slow on the uptake and extended a hand far, far longer than I should've, and it really did a number on my psyche, that feeling of betrayal.

Felt it for a long time, and perhaps I'm just on the low end of the bell curve, but some people really do need to be or will be killed. I won't do it, but much like Muslims tacitly approve of acts performed for their faith, I won't shed a tear if these apparatchiks; judges who release serial criminals, legislators who enable said criminals, and journalists who carry water for these destabilizing forces, end up receiving their just desserts.

I don't know how to square this off with my attempts to return to faith. How can one truly be Christian when your enemies hate all that you are— not just your faith, but your entire being.
