Featured on Sep 10, 2025 by Null: Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was assassinated during a Utah Valley University event. FBI states they have video of the shooter but no further details are public.

Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

Weep not for Charlie. He's in a better place with the God and savior he followed - at least that's what I choose to believe.

Weep for those of us left who have to deal with the fallout, for his family, and so on.

Because I'm pretty sure one of the first things he did is ask God to be with those left behind. That's just the kind of person he was.

I sat, watching people who knew him today, discussing the things he did for them, how he treated them, and so on.

All I can say is rest in peace and I hope his death results in a positive change in our society and culture - not because of his death - but despite of it. I sincerely hope it goes the way he would have wanted - bringing people to the table to talk and a peaceful resolution being found.

The realist in me says the above won't happen, but one can always wish a man's dream could come true - especially if he knew he was putting his life on the line to die for it.

the only thing that wasn't a coincidence was that he was charlie kirk---the right-wing commentator who may have had an outsized role in moving the needle on conservatism among young people (mostly men). and at least the way i see it, that's reason enough for any deranged leftoid to put together a plan to take him out.

Seems like they'd just throw more money at him to shut him up if it was Gaza related. If he was getting weird about the Epstein files, might make more sense.

Political terrorism and even mass casualty attacks were hardly new in 2001. Hell, 9/11 wasn't even the first time the World Trade Center was attacked. How young are you?

This feels like a line was crossed, that's why people are comparing it to 9/11, the last time things felt like this.

The more accurate comparison is probably RFK's assassination (if we imagine Trump's near death was akin to JFK's assassination). The mid-to-late 60's saw US politics absolutely boil over, especially the left with their increasingly unhinged behavior, including outright lefty terrorism, increasingly pushing for a race war, and eating their own in a purity spiral of death due to a uniquely disliked POTUS in LBJ.

All of it ultimately culminating in a decent Dirty Harry sequel, the '68 DNC riots, the Democrats splitting into two parties, and Nixon winning in an electoral landslide, after having an election stolen from him.

Today isn't a perfect 1:1 repeat of the 60's, but there is a lot of concerning elements showing up again. One of those elements was a lot of political assassinations, and they've been definitely ramping up lately. We unfortunately seem to be living in interesting times, again.
