Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

something is so weird about this. After the Boston bombing I remember listening to the police scanners live as they were hunting the guys down. I remember people losing their shit because they ordered a lockdown in Boston until the guys were caught. But absolutely nothing for this?

When the news broke, everyone in my college class celebrated. Even the people on campus who said it was bad talked about it with jubilation. Scary stuff

It's possible that individual(s) spontaneously claimed responsibility because it was already on their minds. As in they were daydreaming about killing Kirk.
