Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

I dont disagree but Trump and Vance would be retards if they dont do something.

People are awake and believe what they are saying. As populists they should understand the people who elected them want their leaders to project strength. Failing to avenge one of your most ardent supporters radiates weakness.

I dunno, doesn't the whole "freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences" thing come into play? If you say bad things publicly, this may cause people to have a bad opinion about you and take entirely legal actions to dissociate themselves from you.

If you use your social media accounts associated with your government job or otherwise public-facing job, thus exploiting your social status to lob bombs at people, you really don't get to claim that you were just some innocent expressing your opinion. I didn't want to believe this was a thing, but if you go look at the talk page for the article it was apparently so bad that someone actually made a comment on it at some point, and had pushback.

Curiously I wasn't able to find the actual version that had it, but going by that talk page this isn't actually a doctored image. They really did fucking list him as a 'white nationalist' at some point, holy shit.
