Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

I know some people are shitposting when they say this, but Charlie Kirk was not low on the conservative totem pole. He was very hooked in with the Trump political machine, the political machines of numerous prominent Republicans, and the general political machine of the Republican Party. And conservative media. And non-party political organizations. TPUSA is one of the richest and biggest such organizations on the right. It's exaggerating not so much to say that he and Elon won Trump the election last year by having their organizations doing the heavy lifting on voter registration and GOTV. Did the round hit him right on the collar of the t-shirt? It almost looks like that's the case, as you can see what looks to be a small hole ringed with fouling, and this made the shirt "jump" which is what might be giving some the impression he was shot in the chest

The shot could have been either in front of or behind the zero, there is really no way to know other than nobody really aims for the neck on purpose so most likely this was not the most experienced individual.
 
Now I'm not trying to break out the tin foil or anything here, but any time an issue receives bipartisan support to the levels we're seeing at the moment is a sure sign that this wasn't expected.
My money is on this being a completely unaffiliated third party, some legitimate lunatic who was acting out of his own personal beliefs. If fucking CENK of all people is condemning people dancing on his political enemies' grave, it's a sign this wasn't for any agenda.

I’m not really sure about that, I think in terms of mainstream attention Hasan Piker would be a better equivalent. I’ve never heard destiny discussed in normal everyday life.

The second amendment is there as the last desperate defense against a tyrannical government. When all other methods have failed, it is there.

It is the strongest worded enumerated right in our constitution. Not "congress shall make no law" not "unreasonable X shall not be done", not "except in times of national emergency", but "shall not be infringed".

There is no reading of our country's highest law of the land where if the second amendment falls, so do all others.

And what do you do when nearly half the country cheers you being murdered for defending it.
