Featured on Sep 10, 2025 by Null: Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was assassinated during a Utah Valley University event. FBI states they have video of the shooter but no further details are public.

Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

What I do find fucked up with it is that it's such a casual scene. Not like Trump deserved it either, at Butler, but there's something about a man being on a stage, versus being reclined in a seat. It would have been exactly morally the same either way, but it makes it look even more like the totally unhinged murder that it was.

The thing is that until South Park tackled him, leftists weren't talking about him. You'd think somebody like this would go after Trump, Elon, Patel, Vance, etc. It really makes me think it was either South Park or some sort of personal vendetta.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of what gun advocates believe.

You accept that with access to guns there may be some risk, not necessarily more risk. You do so because the alternative of being unarmed puts you at the mercy of anyone that is armed and had bad intent, which would be most armed people in a world where the law says you cannot have a gun.

In this scenario you are not accepting more violence. To think that is to ascribe to firearms some sort of inherent evil and strip a man of his agency and responsibility. Ultimately this is the opposite ideal that most gun advocates aspire to by owning guns in the first place.

It's been 8+ hours and the FBI is as close to finding the shooter as Facebook is.
I'm calling it, the FBI either doesn't want to find the shooter or Kash Patel literally fired everyone useful and replaced them with what I can only assume are large tubs of cocaine for him to shneef.
