Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

This has already been explained by me before but the basically weren't on the air during the Biden admin, there was a dispute between services for the rights to the show and they did a grand total of 4 new episodes.

I didn't know that either until I read it because I haven't watch the show in a long time.

I hate to get conspiratorial here but for the last 6-8 months there has been a massive push for Fuentes into the main stream. It hasn’t really worked. But every time he opened his mouth he would be everywhere, the top of Drudge, every shitlib talking about him. Anyone that has followed Fuentes for a while knows that just prior to this his show was completely dead. He would show up 8 hours late or not at all.

All of the sudden he’s the center of attention. There seems to be an organized push for Fuentes to be in the mainstream. One of the only obstacles to that happening would be Kirk.

So I think a glow op is possible or even a Groyper.

Last and least likely option: a Hasan fan that was terrified of Kirk walking all over him in their upcoming debate. But I think that’s a stretch.

A few comments, perhaps redundant but the thread moves faster than a bullet:

You can teach the average teenager to hit a man-sized target at 200m with iron sights in an afternoon. You could probably teach yourself. It doesn't take any special Mossad skills. The shooter probably intended to hit center of mass. I suspect he knew bullets are affected by gravity but overestimated how far it would drop and aimed too high. So he missed but was lucky enough to get the effect he wanted.

I suspect the shooter had a long-standing or non-superficial connection to the school. He has seen similar events before and knew where the speaker would be, or had some other inside source of knowledge. He knew where he could station himself and how to get there (and away!) without attracting attention. This implies familiarity with building layouts, patterns of activity, maybe authorized access to secure areas. The list of likely suspects is pretty small, but constructing that list will take some work.
