Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

More than simply a young guy with a family getting slaughtered like an animal, which itself is quite bad, but also that this very symbolically puts a cap on the "war of ideas" period. Kirk, Shapiro, and the Crowder guy to a much lesser extent, Peterson, and all those guys, were all operating on the premise that this great societal division was mostly just normative social expectation. "You can't say that!" That sort of thing. And for a while they were right, however since they have risen in prominence, a new era has dawned where people just don't care to have the debate anymore, and this now direct assassination of one of these figures makes that clearer than anything. You cannot simply stand on a stage and challenge people's beliefs now, it is more serious than that.
 
I've never followed Charlie Kirk, but this hit me way harder than I expected. I just keep thinking about his two kids. It's truly evil what happened.

Problem isn't that some spergs are calling out for the death of all leftyfaggots, it's that moderates and normalfags will slowly stop giving a damn and won't care if these same spergs start returning the favor. You cannot come back from majority feeling nothing but apathy for your side. Just look how the nationwide consensus on illegal migrants changed over the last year versus how it looked over the last few years, what has changed? Saw a post on twitter like a few minutes ago and it was how I learned the guy's dead. All the comments were filled with meme photoshops of him like moments after being shot in the neck. It's the behavior of people who have lost touch with their humanity.

The left has constantly been shouting the "any means necessary" and "the other side are not human" rhetoric for a good while now and they're finally losing control of their golem.
