Another thing that would felt him is that Sekiro has Metroidvania elements.

Most bosses have a specific ninja tool or item that makes them vulnerable.

You can absolutely beat them anyways but it's incredibly difficult.

Synth being a stubborn retard would not use or collect the proper item. Instead he'd choose to die 50+ times while whining about "Souls slop"
 
Synth doesn't know jack shit about video games, he got far into his career for purely culture-war reasons. It's always funny when he complains about games being "boring", but he rarely explains what this "boredom" originates from, outside of "movie games bad". Unironically his best video game criticism is how he noticed that in Final Fantasy 16 there's no incentive to make good combos in the early game, so all you really do is cancelling regular attacks by using spells between them, so you keep doing the same combo over and over again. I don't know how much of this problem is *fixed* later in the game, because I never picked up the game, but that was his best criticism ever, everything else is just surface level analysis that every normie that plays video games as a past time could give you as a response. It's funny when he reacts to better youtubers like The Electric Underground, and pauses every couple of seconds to say something in attempt to discredit the reviewer, but then he completely misses the original point of the argument. The reason why he reviews only mediocre games isn't only because he earns more views that way, but also because he doesn't have to put effort into analysing game mechanics to understand whether or not the game is holistically well designed.

Even martial fighters irl have to be ready to anticipate and act against a set number of attacks and combos(there is a finite amount that fighters usually go for); Real human beings however are clumsy and fighting isn't as stylish as it is depicted in movies/video games. Nonetheless, point still stands.

I hated Sekiro with a passion when I first played it, I came up with whatever excuse I could pull outta my ass to cope. Only on my third attempt did it finally click. Honestly, I'm not sure if you can even compare Sekiro to the rest of the souls games, but I can definitely agree that it's the best game From has ever made.

I had the same experience but with Bloodborne. It took me 5 tries along the span of 3 years. Each time I played 2-3 hours and got wrecked by Cleric Beast or Gascoigne. I coped that it was a bullshit game, I hated RPGs, too fast, shit performance (which is still true, but still). But for some reason I always came back to it, and I'm glad because it became one of my top 15 games.

Been saying this since I joined the thread, lol. He is trying to be the Metokur of video games, too cool for anything and everything but some old baby games that are above criticism because they come from the before times.... The baby games (like Jim's guilty pleasure animes) give him just enough humanity/vulnerability that he is free to shit on everything else, 100% of the time.... His mechanical/narrative critiques are shallower than a puddle. He is nothing but a woke detector that is calibrated to be way too sensitive and beep about it all day.... You watch a guy like Synth to see him review Dustborn or Veilgaurd not Expedition 33 or Space Marine 2 (that review wasn't even bad, it's just not his appeal/niche).

I watch Metokur (or did), I can watch negative content pretty much 24/7... but the thing is that Synth will wear out his welcome much faster, he doesn't have the sympathy of the dying, he streams multiple times a week and when Jim fucks with chat he does it while laughing like Devin. When Synth interacts with chat, it's literally just to strawman and berate with zero context/awareness. He fears chat and he wants to control or contain thier descent. Also even God Emperor Metokur, with the machines whirring behind him and tubes running every which way, will feign positivity and encouragement for chatters and Synth simply cannot be bothered. "Why are you telling me this you 14% retard failed normie?! I should time your ass out!"

Thinking about synth as "woke content detector" is very useful. His entire appeal was to tell us what games to avoid, not because they are mechanically poor, but because they are overtly woke. But times changed, and now it's more obvious than ever what games are going to have leftist propaganda in it, so Synth's opinion became practically useless.
 
In his last (ever?) Breakers raider match (clip timestamps 3:27:03-3:38:27), Chuddie boy here was on a roll, being at full health vs only 3 other players. and the STM not even out. That is until he met a supertrannysphere god by the name of 'Power' who ALONE won the game by being being far far better than him. In the end and like many others, he blocked him for being too good at the game. The clip speaks for itself, and shows how he reacts when reality clashes with his megalomania.

Like seriously, give me a 2000's action game with fucking variety of combos, many weapons, a simple story and game play is 10/10 re playable.

There's no way on earth the new wolverine game is coming close to quality gameplay as wolverine origins.Same went for Spiderman 1 & 2, both gameplays are subpar compared to Web Of Shadows that had DMC insane combos, has the best air combat i've ever seen along with a amazing skilltree for evil and good spiderman.

I went to check and it's fucking hilarious how it was not different than ledditors giving their pseudointelectual takes for upvotes. He is way WAY more of a tasteless NPC than I actually thought. Also, on the topic of his taste, fuck his Resident Evil 4 praise. That game is just good, not great or a masterpiece. The Evil Within 1 is a much better game with an actual HORROR. But of course it got a downgraded movie game sequel for the normie audience, which the baby game enthusiast has admited he prefers . RE4 would need to be remade 99 more times to reach the levels of TEW1.

There is almost not point in even skipping through the VODs anymore. Breakers got shafted for loli shit, fake doomer shit, lazy video shit, modern slop shit.
