Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

I'm no doctor, but a shot like that to the neck with the carotid being in that area, and the immediate bleeding that followed... Yeah, he was likely dead before they even got him to the hospital.

There's no way someone asks a question about gun crime and seconds later he gets shot and it's unrelated.

It was just unfortunate timing. How would the shooter know about the question he was asked about? He obviously wouldn't be able to hear him, and if the shooter were to be watching Charlie stream, viewers can't watch whats going on in real time due to latency.
