Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

But he had his right to speak, and he took it, and he got killed for it.

Wonder who did it, or if it even will be released.

It’s such a wild choice to go after Kirk of all people. He’s so moderate, he’s basically a boomer. At most he soured a bit on Israel and foreign aid in recent years, that’s about the extent of the extremism.

I really don’t understand the thought process behind “kill the moderates, leave the extremists alive to get sicced on you when TPTB get scared.” I can’t think of a dumber strategy
