Seems SJWs may claim that "homophobia" and "transphobia" is "fear-based hatred", rather than those people who are "transphobic" or "homophobic" usually finding "transgender" and homosexuality repulsive, not a subject of fear. If such a claim is being made by SJWs, it is yet another example of how they make up or "strawman" motives of dissenters.

-phobia in that sense, like "Gallophobia," one of the early ones (hatred of the French) doesn't mean fear but irrational hostility.

The whole point of throwing the -phobia suffix on anything is that even though the word DENOTES fear of something, it CONNOTES specifically irrational fear or hatred. It's a way of using words to convey a message indirectly.

For instance, contemplate words involving fatness. Just "fat" is a neutral word that simply conveys that someone is above a normal body weight. Compare all the other ways you can call someone fat. Falstaffian, portly, Rubensian, zaftig. These all just denote fatness, but they connote that the fat guy or woman is actually otherwise good.

Pick a word like "corpulent," though. This merely denotes fatness, but it connotes evil. If you call someone corpulent, you are calling them evil. You are calling them something like Baron Harkonnen. They aren't merely fat, they're unwholesome. You would never describe someone you actually like as "corpulent," even if you might call them fat.

It's repellent. The Trail of Tears was a disgusting betrayal of a treaty we'd signed with the Cherokee and other honorable tribes, and one where they entirely lived up to their side of the agreement and we stabbed them in the back. Fuck Andrew Jackson.

What's currently going on is the removal of illegal immigrants who have no business even being here. Trump is doing a piss-poor job of it and even Obama was doing better at removing illegals, but somehow nobody called him a Nazi over it.
