The names the trolls use really crack me up. I might be imagining this because I can find no trace of it but I'm sure during the original fence saga there was one called Backwards S. Fencelinson

If those are purely your delusions, then they are collective delusions, child, because I remember that too. The pests choose the most hilarious of names.

Pat might be getting a THREE THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLAR payout soon:

AI company Anthropic was sued over its use of books pirated from Libgen as training data. They just agreed to a settlement wherein they'll pay 3000 USD (that's around 3.75 centiquasis) to each of the 500'000 authors whose works were used in this manner.

Since Pat is an American Author whose books are available on Libgen, he's most likely part of the lucky 500'000. Expect some smug xeets soon.

This was extremely stupid of them. Fair use generally applies only to works you are legitimately in possession of. While it's not entirely impossible to make a fair use of something, for instance, that's unpublished, such as something that is highly newsworthy, when you outright pirate hundreds of thousands of works illegally, good luck.

You could probably make fair use of something on the open Internet if you hadn't done something like accepted a clickwrap license agreeing not to (something people will probably be doing), but most paywall agreements are going to be for no further distribution.

Incidentally since it's possible someone here is in the same boat, if you are, you can sign on for your pound of flesh:

Stumbled across another slander of the apotheosis of American manhood. Jeanne Savery should be ashamed of herself, everybody knows Patrick Tomlinson is a true buckaroo on horseback! Plus, everybody knows Patrick always gets the girl.

The Ghost and Patrick Tomlinson at goodreads.

This is probably the most he has ever been paid for his books.

Deep lore question. If @stealthy<something> was a common convention for alt accounts, does that mean that Fat at one point had a another Twitter account, and @stealthygeek was his alt / private account?
No. Its much, much, sadder than that. See fatricks actually thinks that he's such a masculine manly man that no one would ever guess that he's also into "nerdy and geeky" shit like sci-fi or comics, thus making him "stealthy"

Nobody sees a morbidly obese greasy adult man playing with dinosaur toys and thinks he is masculine or does not instantly see that he is trying to be a geek. @blatantgeek would have been more like it, except being Rick, he isn't even a geek. At least not the good kind. He's the kind you couldn't even sell to a sideshow.
