Similarly my life has been in a rot state for all those years, but that's due to a LACK of money and connections rather than HAVING MONEY AND CONNECTIONS AND THEN RADIO SILENCE FOR YEARS ON END. It'd be funny if I somehow hit it big around the same time they finally finish hiveswap but at this rate I'm gonna be older than hussie is now by the time I actually have any kind of career (or hiveswap and hauntswitch even come out. yeesh!)

They keep removing everyone and restarting/rebranding which is why the shits been such a mess since day 1. That's not even getting into the odd gentlemen shit that started this spiral. Apperently whatpumpkin is now no longer whatpumpkin but homestuck which makes shit even more confusing than when the whatpumpkin guys had a second company made up of the same exact people as whatpumpkin called snake solutions a few years back.

I don't care about Nu-stuck so I'm not in the discord, but the screenshots in the /co/ thread gave me a glimpse into that ring of hell.

I only joined to lurk, and lurk I do very well. Seems about the same as every other homestuck place these days (or really any media ever but that's another story). How the fuck does making characters trans make shit "safer" community wise? Why would you want the comedic adventure webcomic's sequel to be "safer" for anybody?

The other art I've seen people post just shows me how far I've fallen the last 5 to 8 years in terms of art capability. Not like I'm not trying but when people shoot out hyper-realistic detailed works in the span of like a few minutes compared to hours to days for a small doodle it's really demotivational.

This is decent, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. I was going to rip on you for the obvious tangent line, but then I realized Hussie himself made the exact same mistake way more egregiously. Protip: you never want your horizon line to "decapitate" a figure in the foreground, or form a tangent line with the shoulders. Here's an example:

As a professional artist (or former professional artist, let's be real) Hussie should know better, especially since his compositions used to be really good. Hussie is a case study in what happens when you don't practice; art is a skill just like any other, you need to do it regularly to prevent backsliding.

Why is it that the only "self insert avatar" that's flesh colored is Andrew hussie? I mean it's not REALISTICALLY FLESH COLORED but it's stylization meant to imply flesh color is present. A few years back you had the purple one and now you got the blue and red one. At least the colors work for this blue and red one. makes me think about mario for some unexplainable reason. Or bibendum who isn't even blue

The removal of a gaming section is a genuine crime against the very nature of evertything I think.
