She was missing for four months before someone notified authorities so either she and rest of her family were distant or they don't give fuck. Because otherwise I can't imagine how they would not be suspicious after month or two without any contact with Elora.

Don't forget that according to JF, Alora spent years gallivanting around the globe like Carmen Sandiego, probably with many months of having no contact with her family. If there was a sudden, long lack of contact from Alora it is possible they might not have thought anything was amiss based on her past behavior.

I have actually been pondering this aspect of her past and I had a disturbing thought.

If a woman is autistic, or mentally retarded it makes her MORE attractive to JF because he find them easy to manipulate.

But what if he also looks for other qualities? Like disappearing for months at a time so no one would be suspicious if it happened again.

I'm not saying JF planned her murder right from the start, but what if it made her more attractive to JF. What if Alora would some day do something that enraged him or she suddenly because inconvenient? Wouldn't it be a happy coincidence that no one would ever think twice Alora suddenly went radio silent and broke off contact with everyone?
