I've looked for images of skype folders, but some tech sites for skype go as far back as 2013 for getting files from temp folders, for the sender. It seems with newer skype free video calls are archived in the chat log for 30 days and are downloadable, like it was for business account clouds. I can't see any images of what the filename convention is when you save them from any normie tech sites/image search.

The file being prefaced with "screen recording" to me indicates a third party mobile app that stores files in it's own camera roll directory. If they were native skype recordings they would just be named time and date and some numerical order, they aren't screen recordings/captures.

I was also curious about which application was used to create the file name from the VLC screenshot, but it’s surprisingly hard to pinpoint the exact recording software. I also fed the naming convention into GPT (deep research) and Perplexity Pro, but they only delivered suggestions and, in some cases, false positives. I think it’s safe to assume that the file name was automatically generated rather than manually named, which, as @Jesus was a Lestes stated, rules out Skype’s native recording and means a third-party application was used.

I isolated the prefix ('Screen_Recording_') and the suffix ("-68DCE") and focused the search on them, but with inconclusive results. The best I could find is that supposedly Android’s native default screen recorder uses the exact prefix and includes the app name (Skype), but I still don’t have Android devices and can’t validate this. macOS Screenshot/QuickTime uses the format “Screen Recording YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS.” The missing underscores could have been replaced during upload to cloud storage or when copying to another file system.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to find the app. When you web search for similar file names (Google/Yandex), you can find other examples (mostly porn) with the same naming convention but without reference to the recording app.
