Are we sure that the 700 dollars are the total debt and not just his latest loss? Because if it is the total debt it is a over reaction but if he was already like 30k on the red and had 700 more added then it makes more sense.
 
There haven't been any substantial updates in the goonercide case in the past week and a half, but it's hit mainstream media. Vice wrote a short article about it covering the details I've shared here, but the article does give some valuable information about Chinese fetish groups. The article's author spoke to Telegram admin of one of these groups; he's Chinese and specialises in sharing videos of corpses from a necrophiliac and "clean" perspective, and the article mentions groups dedicated to drugged rape videos and mortuary footage.


On Vietnamese Facebook this screenshot was circulating. According to the OP the prime suspect in Dat's murder is named "PTK" and he lives in Ninh Minh, Vietnam or China, but the Vietnamese police don't have enough evidence to arrest him yet. The third comment seems to substantiate the original post and reveals the killer's name to be Pham Trung Kien, which they claim to know given their contacts in C02, which is Vietnam's General Department of Criminal Police. According to the third comment the Vietnamese police are being very quiet about the case as well. All of this information is unsubstantiated however

A fatal accident was recorded in the municipality of Flexeiras, in the interior of Alagoas, on Tuesday afternoon (7), when a woman was hit by a part of the wheel of a school bus. With the force of the object, which flew towards her, she ended up dying instantly.

According to information from G1, the victim was identified as Vera Lúcia Marcolino dos Santos, aged approximately 40 years.

The incident occurred in the Sanah area of Al-Dhale' Governorate, south of the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, at a tire repair shop.

The explosion occurred while the truck tire was being filled with air, killing the truck owner and moderately injuring the owner of the tire repair shop.

The Yemeni Suhail TV channel published the video and documented the incident on February 26.

The family of 38-year-old Rakesh Ramnarine are still trying to wrap their heads around the loss of their family member and friend, who was killed on Monday when one of his truck tyres exploded.

Newsday visited the family in Cap-de-Ville, Point Fortin, and spoke to Ramnarine's cousin Venoode Maharaj.

Ramnarine's mother, Indrawattie Ramnarine, was unable to speak to the media at the time, as she was overcome with grief. His common-law wife Meera was not present, as she was seeing about the paperwork needed for his burial.

Maharaj said Ramnarine, who celebrated his birthday on September 19, was a decent, loving person.

“He's my older cousin by a couple years. He was one of the most generous, loving persons you could know. If he had a single dollar remaining to give somebody or help somebody, he would have done it."

"He never used to get vexed with you, he never used to cause confusion or anything, he never used to be angry."

“Normally all the cousins would get together and get a cake and go camping down by Iros Bay for his birthday, but we didn't get to do it this year."

"We both went to Cap-de-Ville Primary School and Cedros Comprehensive. He was a very loving person who would always look out for me."

Around 9 am on Monday, Ramnarine stopped on the Eastern Main to repair a damaged line on his truck. He went into Satyavi's Hardware & Electronics to ask for a screwdriver, and five minutes after he left the store, an explosion was heard.

Video footage from the store showed Ramnarine reaching under the truck, between two of the rear tyres, when there was an explosion. When the smoke cleared, the tyre was shredded and Ramnarine was found lying between the truck and the pavement. He was alive but later died of internal injuries.

The truck, which was later removed to the Sangre Grande police station, belonged to construction company Namalco Group. Maharaj said the company had been assisting the family since the tragedy.

A man identified as Natanael Ricardo de Oliveira Barros, 29, died after a tyre exploded on Monday afternoon (26) in Martinho Campos, Minas Gerais state, Brazil.

According to the Military Police (PM), the accident occurred at a tyre repair shop in the São Jorge district, while the victim was inflating the tyre of a truck. At some point, the tyre burst and the victim was thrown against a pole, killing him at the scene.

My dad was a truck driver for a while when he was young and he knew a guy who lost all his hearing on one side because a truck tire exploded and BTFO his eardrum on the side that was facing the truck.

Tires are really dangerous but people don't usually realize it. And the bigger they are the more pressure they are under which only makes it worse, you can tell on the videos from how the tractor tires are all stronger. There is also the fact that the rubber tends to shred and be sent flying in deadly whips (as you can see on the 2nd video where it looks like a ring hits her) all over.

The brazillian woman in green is one of my fav...it's so final destination esque (only the first movie was good fight me). And violent, she is absolutely obliterated by physics. It's horribly fascinating.

Man, ones like this lean me more towards believing in some kind of fate. I thought it was going to be one of the people standing around but no, the stars aligned and hit the one person in motion, where if she was going slightly slower or faster, or the tire didn't pop at the perfect time, or any other tiny factors, she would've been fine.

That is astronomically bad luck.
 
The third world is just hell, everywhere and everything is dirty, everywhere is covered in trash, everything is run down and broken, the floors are dirt, and the roads aren't even gravel most of the time just dirt. Two fishermen drown in their car - Apacha, Russia (2021.11.07)

Happened on November 7, 2021, around 1:30 pm

Three fishermen from Ust-Bolsheretsky District in Kamchatka Krai tried driving through Plotnikova river near the village Apacha in their Toyota Hilux Surf II. They failed and two of them - driver named Pavel (age 55) and rear passenger named probably Vanya (age 59) drowned. 73 years old front passenger named Dima menaged to get out from the car in time and he survived.

It's unclear whether they were drunk but according to granddaughter of one of the deceased they were all sober.

Fisherman who survived is the one that told them not to cross the river in that spot.

Kenyan woman drowns in deep end of swimming pool on Facebook livestream - Collingwood, Canada (2022.08 )

The father of a Kenyan woman who drowned in a swimming pool in Canada while livestreaming on Facebook has spoken of his family’s loss.

Hellen Wendy Nyabuto could be seen in a video struggling to stay afloat after diving into the deep end of the pool last week.

The 23-year-old health worker, who lived in Toronto, had earlier responded to comments from viewers before resuming her swim.

Her body was spotted hours later at the bottom of the pool. According to her brother, she drowned in Collingwood, Ontario, the town where she worked.

Her father Nyabuto John Kiyondi, 56 told CNN from his home in Kenya: “I watched that video. I cried. It is terrible.”

“She communicated with me two days before she perished. She sounded very fine and I was very happy. She promised me a phone. I didn’t feel anything abnormal,” he said.

Nyabuto lived with her younger brother Enock in an apartment in Toronto and worked part-time as a health worker while studying nursing, her family said.

“She has been in Canada for about three years,” Enock, who is one of her five siblings said.

“All the financial responsibilities (of their family in Kenya) were on her,” he added.


Man drowns in the Flint River on Facebook livestream - Bainbridge, Georgia, USA (2023.08.08 )

The identity of a man who jumped off a Bainbridge bridge and later drowned has been released. They believe it to be the same man seen jumping off a bridge into the Flint River in a Facebook Live video.

Crews found the body of Luther Johnson of Bainbridge around 9:54 a.m. on Wednesday in the same area he jumped near Cheney Griffin Park.

Bainbridge Public Safety is investigating the incident and the video that was taken.

In the video, a man is overheard narrating another man's walk on a train trestle and then. His jump from the bridge.

Over 100,000 people watched the video, which shows the man swimming in the middle of the Flint River before he then disappears. The video has since been removed from Facebook.

Search efforts for the man began Tuesday night around 8 p.m. but ended unsuccessfully a little after midnight on Wednesday. By Wednesday morning, rescue crews discovered the man's body 30 feet from where he jumped in. Decatur County fire Chief Charlie McCann believes if social media hadn't been involved, the man might still be alive.

“When the individual that was filming it, when he seen he jumped in the water if he'd called us, or called 911, that had jumped in the river or whatever, he might still be with us today,” McCann said.

In these types of incidents, McCann says a lot of people don't realize the dangers behind jumping from high rises into water.

“It's like hitting a brick wall depending on how you hit, you're going to cause some bodily injuries and that's going to make it even worse if you plan on just jumping and swimming out,” McCann said.

In this incident, McCann says he believes the drowning was caused by the man being tired of swimming.

“It's just sad the way things happened and it hurt me as well as the community,” a local resident told WALB.

Law enforcement tells WALB they are encouraging residents to avoid incidents like this because they can turn deadly.

Haitian and Venezuelan migrants drown in the Rio Grande mud trying to reach the United States border - Matamoros, Mexico (2023.12.21)

Carlos is the name of one of the two migrants who drowned in the Rio Grande on the afternoon of Thursday, December 21, trying to reach the United States and fulfill the American dream, which, as in this case, not everyone achieves.

A group of people, made up of Haitians and Venezuelans, ventured to cross this tributary in a muddy area covered with lily pads and garbage. Their goal was to reach North American territory and surrender to immigration authorities.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said the issue will be addressed by future administrations.

As they advanced through the river, the migrants became stuck in the mud, raising alarm among the Central Americans living in the makeshift camp on the Mexican side.

Some managed to get out, while others helped rescue children who were trapped for a time.

"It's too difficult, don't come," was the cry of the families of those who drowned.

This incident occurred near the Cruz del Migrante, a site chosen to commemorate the people who lost their lives there.

The superstition of a seven-year-old child's parents that a dip in the Ganga River could cure their son of cancer cost a child his life in Haridwar on Wednesday (January 24), police said. The boy's parents kept chanting mantras on the banks of Har ki Pauri while his aunt allegedly dipped him repeatedly in the Ganga ignoring his loud cries, until he suffocated and died, they added.

Bystanders tried to stop the woman but she refused to listen to them, the police said. Eyewitnesses reported the incident to the police, SHO of the Har ki Pauri police station Bhavna Kainthola said. The child's parents and aunt have been held for interrogation, the SHO said.

The boy was suffering from blood cancer and resided with his parents in Delhi, she said. He died of drowning, the SHO said, adding that further inquiry into the case is underway.

A tragic incident occurred on Monday, July 22, in the city of Goma, the capital of North Kivu, when Claude Mateene, a man in his fifties, lost his life while swimming in the pool of the Ihusi Hotel.

According to witnesses at the scene, the incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. local time.

Claude Mateene was an officer with the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) based in Goma, according to a source close to the victim.

Claude Mateene's family and colleagues are still in shock at this sudden and unexpected loss. The Ihusi Hotel has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.


More than 78 killed after a boat capsizes in the Congo - Lake Kivu, DRC (2024.10.03)

At least 78 people died when an overcrowded boat capsized on Lake Kivu in eastern Congo on Thursday, a local governor said. A frantic search and rescue operation was underway hours later as many remained unaccounted for from the vessel, believed to have had 278 people on board.

Jean-Jacques Purusi, the governor of the South Kivu province, said the death toll was provisional and that the number of fatalities could rise further. He said that according to the information that local authorities had, there were 278 people on board.

The boat set off from the port of Minova, in South Kivu province, earlier in the day and was en route to Goma, in North Kivu province, Purusi said, speaking over the phone.

"We do not yet have (the full picture of) the whole situation but we will have it by tomorrow," he told The Associated Press.

The boat sank while trying to dock just meters (yards) away from the port of Kituku, according to witnesses who said they saw rescue services recover at least 50 bodies from the water.

It was the latest deadly boat accident in the central African country, where overcrowding on vessels is often to blame. Maritime regulations also are often not followed.

Witnesses of the Thursday tragedy said the boat was visibly overcrowded.

"I was at the port of Kituku when I saw the boat arriving from Minova, full of passengers," Francine Munyi told the AP. "It started to lose its balance and sank into the lake. Some people threw themselves into the water."

"Many died, and few were saved," she added. "I couldn't help them because I don't know how to swim."

The victims' families and Goma residents gathered at the port of Kituku, accusing authorities of negligence in the face of growing insecurity in the region.

Since the fighting between the armed forces and the M23 rebels made the road between the cities of Goma and Minova impassable, forcing the closure of the passage to trucks transporting food, many traders have resorted to maritime transport on Lake Kivu. It's an alternative considered safer than road traffic, which is threatened by insecurity.

The survivors, about 10 of them, were taken to Kyeshero hospital for treatment. One of them, Neema Chimanga, said she was still in shock.

"We saw the boat start to fill with water halfway," she recounted to the AP. "The door of the boat opened, and we tried to close it. But the water was already coming in, and the boat tilted."

"I threw myself into the water and started swimming," she said. "I don't know how I got out of the water."
